Chapter 6: Not feeling guilty anymore

CHAPTER 6: NOT FEELING GUILTY ANYMORE.

HARMONYS POV:

Black.

That's all I see.

I was trying my best to open my eyes, but terribly failed.

I felt like I was lying on the floor for about 2 3 hours.

While I was lying on the cold hard floor I heard footsteps coming my way. I tried to open my eyes, keyword-tried, but again my body didn't want to respond. I gave up eventually. The footsteps got louder then it stopped , I heard that person let out a gasped then I heard foot steps coming my direction but faster, like that person was running towards me.

That person said well not said but yelled" HARMONY. HARMONY WAKE UP. NO NO NO HARMONY." The moment he spoke I recognised  his voice .The voice belonged to. Alex. F*cken hell. Someone finally came to my rescue .

Alex said " No Harmony , please don't leave us . Please harmony I'm begging you. Please wake up . You and your brother are the only choices I have right now. " It sounded like he was crying. Bro I wish I had a camera right now. With all the energy I had ,I spoke the words " IM. NOT.DEAD. YOU. MORON." I slowly opened my eyes and saw a emotionally/confused/angry Alex. He yelled at the top of his lungs " HALLELUJAH THE SPIRITS HAVE BROUGHT YOU BACK FROM THE DEAD. THANK YOU JESUS THANK YOU."  When he yelled that , A smile crept onto my face. I said to him bit by bit " I. NEED . WATER. NOW" he said " Yh okay." He handed me his bottle of water and I drowned it down. When I finished the water I looked at Alex and he looked tired and all sweaty. He must of  just finished his run. I was about to say something when Darkness took over me , AGAIN.

ALEXS POV:

Running.

Running is my freedom. As you can tell , I'm a runner. I've been running since I was 6 years old and I've never stopped since then. I sometimes run to get my anger out, sometimes for fun and mainly I run for freedom. I like the cool breeze whipped on my face while I run, the warm sweat dripping down on my face and the 1000s of eye balls on my front and back while I'm running though town . I never ran away from anything. ........Until this morning ,I  ran away from 3 enormous, buff guys that looked so pissed. All 3 of them had bruises on there forehead but Dante, he had the biggest bruise out of all of them.

So yh, me and Cooper were sprinting down the street far away from Dante, Nelson and Jacob. When me and Cooper made it down the street , we both look behind us and saw that all 3 of them were puffed out and the funny part was that they only made it half way down the street. They looked like they were running a bloody marathon. They had sweat dripping down there faces, while me and Coops didn't even break a sweat. While me and coops were trying to catch our breathes we both yelled out from the bottom of the street " SLOW COACHES." All 3 of them yelled " GAME ON."

That was in the morning . It's afternoon now . Normally I go on runs with coops but he said that he had business to take care of. So it was just me.

I've been Running through town round about 6:30pm and now it's 7:00pm. While I finished my round of running , I decided to just walk it out . Walking to the middle part of the town with my headphones in, my singlet was drench from all the sweat and a water bottler in my hand. I was walking and listening to music when I see someone lying on the floor. I thought that maybe that person was homeless or maybe that person had to much to drink. While I was taking in all the persons features I noticed a tattoo on her ankle it wrote "H.J. "

I immediately recognized that tattoo. That Tattoo belonged to the one and only HARMONY JOSEPHINE. When I realized it was her I let out a loud gasped. I ran over to her and Yelled"HARMONY. HARMONY WAKE UP. NO NO NO HARMONY. " I felt anger and sadness go right through my body. She looked horrible. She had a big black eye , broken nose , a lot of bruises on her stomach, her lip was cut open and her forehead had the biggest bruise that I have ever seen before. I looked down at Harmony as my little sister and I'm pretty sure that she looks up at me as another older brother. Me and her are pretty close. I felt tears coming up. No she's not dead yet . I said " No Harmony , please don't leave us . Please harmony I'm begging you. Please wake up . You and your brother are the only choices I have right now." 
I don't know why but when I said that my voice cracked up. I was on the end of tears. I was about to say something when I heard her little voice say " IM. NOT . DEAD . YOU .MORON."  She said trying her best to open her eyes, which she eventually she did.
I was so happy that she wasn't dead. I yelled at the top of my lungs "HALLELUJAH THE SPIRITS HAVE BROUGHT YOU BACK FROM THE DEAD. THANK YOU JESUS THANK YOU". When I said that she had a small smile on her face. Dang I miss her smile . I'm just happy that she's alive . She asked me for my water and I gave it to her. She drowned it down , when she was finish she looked at me and studied me. From her expressions she had just realized that I was on my run. She was about to say something when she just past out , again.

I panicked, I pulled out my phone and dialed all the Josephine's . I called Malcolm ( harmonys dad) . He picked up the phone and said" This better be a good excuse young man." I said " Good afternoon s-s-sir , t-this is a-bout your Daughter. I found her on the side walk and she's all bruised up. She passed out not to long ago. " he shouted" ALEX WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU , IM COMING RIGHT NOW , STAY PUT. " I replied " Yes sir , we are on ......" I looked around for the street sign and ended up finding it, " were on Percy street , in the middle part of town. " . He said " thanks solider, I'll call cooper and Jacob and you call the rest . Stay put." With that he hung up .

I called Dante and Nelson , they both asked the same question , I told them everything while they were already on there way here.

When I finished calling all of them , I went towards Harmony , I picked her up and laid her in my lap.

Tears filled my eyes. I'm so stupid , I should've called all of them first before anything else. This was all my fault.

2 minutes later I heard burnouts on the street. I turned my head to see about 12 cars coming on the street. I'm pretty sure that Malcolm brought half of the gang by the looks of it.

Malcolm saw Harmony on my lap and jump out and ran towards us, goes for the same as all the brothers. I stood up and Gave harmony to Malcolm . I couldn't hold it in . Tears fell from my eyes. This is all my fault. Tears were dropping like rain. I didn't even notice that Malcolm gave Harmony to Dante , I was shocked to see that Malcolm can up to me and give me I bro hug. When he pulled away he said " son, this wasn't your fault do you understand me." I looked up and said " But it is , I should've rang you guys first instead of doing what I was doing sir. If I had rang she would of been ok. " Malcolm shock his head and said " Son , I know you think it's your fault right now , but if you look at it a different way , you saved her. If you hadn't gone for your run then she would still be here lying on the floor, cold and hurt and someone would of taken her ,listen to me solider , this isn't your fault do you understand me." I said " yes sir , I understand"

With that being said he turned around and grabbed Harmony out of Dante's arms and took her in the van . He was probably taking her to the mini hospital that they have in there house .
I was standing there shocked about what Malcolm had said. It wasn't my fault , I saved her. I felt a little bit better. I was about to start walking to one of the cars when Dante , Nelson , Jacob and cooper stopped me.

They all said all the same time " What happened ."

I explained everything to them. By the time I was finished Nelson ask " did you know who did it?." I said no and they all stiffen up. The thing about the Josephine Brothers was that IF YOU MESS WITH 1 , YOU MESS WITH ALL.

They asked more and more questions . I , of course answered .

By the end of the conversation they all
Bro hugged me and said thanks for keeping Harmony safe when I arrived.

At least I didn't feel guilty anymore.

When we all said our goodbyes , me and coops were heading out of the street , but before we left I found a Silver necklace that said the letter W.

I felt anger rush through my vines , I knew exactly who punished Harmony. I showed Cooper and he had the Same reaction as me , angry . We both looked at each other and said at the same time " Whitlam Family"
