Chapter twenty five - Eduard

I run. In vamp speed. As fast as I can. It only takes a second and a half to run to my flat but it feels like ages. How could I let him escape? I'm so stupid! Not only could he expose my secret, he also knows whom I care about more than anything else. Usually it takes a bit longer to run this far. I'm there finally. Maybe it was even a bit faster than one and a half seconds. I can faintly hear someone sobbing. Oh no! Then I hear running. The running stopps. I can see the door. I rush into my living room. There I see Olivia and Kyla hiding behind Nik. Logan comes in behind me.

Me: Nik? What's the matter?

Nik: We thought you were someone else.

Olivia runns towards me and jumps into my arms. I carefully hold her. She's trembeling.

Me: Are you okay?

Olivia: No...yes...I don't know....

I carefully place her on the floor to look at her.

Me: He didn't come here? Or someone else?

She shakes her head. Good. I wasn't too late. I won't let her out of my sight again. Not until we have that bastard.
My thoughts are interrupted by someone. By Logan.

Logan: If I were you I'd listen to Nik.

He chuckles. I know he meant Niks thoughts because no one is talking at the moment.

I listen. The longer I listen the angrier I get. Not only did he stalk my girlfriend while he was supposed to guard her, he's imagining how it would be to kiss her.

Me: Not a good idea!

He flinches. Yeah you better be scared.

Logan chuckles again.

Me: You find this amusing?

Logan: Rather. Why?

I shake my head. Then I hear it. He's thinking of her again. Seriously? Does he never learn to controll himself?

Logan: Well actually he learns quite well. Otherwise he wouldn't be working for me. But he does have a habit of always wanting too much.

I look at Olivia. She looks back at me a question in her eyes. I know what she wants to ask. But I can't really tell her whats going on right now.

Me: Later, Liv.

She nods. I notice Kyla standing beside her. She seems to be confused. But not too confused so she's filled in I guess...Okay she is, she's thinking about whether we are communicating through our thoughts at the moment.

Me: Yeah, we are.

Her eyes lit up as I spoke to her. At least one of us likes the advantages of being a vampire.

Logan: Nik, why don't you leave us. I think it would be better to avoid more...complications...

Nik nods and silently leaves the room. Not without smirking at Olivia though. Shouldn't have done that. I spin around to get to him but Logan holds my arm

Me: Logan let me go. NOW!

Logan: He's my bodyguard I need him. And at the moment you do aswell.

*a few hours later*

I stand up and clean the dishes. Olivia helps me. The others have left. Kyla wanted some alonetime, Nik had to and Logan had stuff to do or at least he said something like that. So it's just us two. We decided to order something 'cos neither of us really wanted to cook.
Olivia squeaks suddenly. I spin around. She's trying to turn off the water in my sink which is splashing at her.

Me: Liv, you do know that you used the wrong lever. The other one turns it on normally this one is for...well actually I have no idea but not for cleaning or anything.

Olivia: Would you just shut up and help me?

She laughs as do I. I turn off the water and look at her. Hmmm...maybe she shouldn't have worn a white shirt when she changed before eating. But then her bra is really hot so I'm not complaining.
Olivia suddenly splashes water in my face.

Me: Whatever was that for?

Olivia: Stopp checking me out.

She giggles.

Me: Why should I? You're hot AND my girlfriend. I see no reason not to.

She blushes and grabs a glas. She fills it up but instead of drinking she pours it over my head.

Me: Oh no you are not getting away with that.

I grab her arm and she squieks. Olivia tries to run but I do have an advantage being a vampire and all. I playfully pull at her arm and she crushes into my cheast. She pushes me but of course I don't move at all.

Olivia: That's unfair. You're cheating.

I smirk and pull her closer. She looks up to me from under her eyelashes. Why is she so sexy? Olivia bites her lower lip. I lean towards her...
Suddenly the door opens.

Me: Are you kidding me? Logan do you always have to interrupt us?

Olivia tries to move away from me but I have my hands on the small of her back to keep her where she is. Logan will not ruin our moment again!

Logan: I am sorry you two lovebirds. I'll be quick. I called more of my men to come and protect you. There are two with Kyla and eight others spread over the campus and looking whether anyone enters who is not supposed to be there. I also have four people right outside the house, two of them will follow Olivia if she should leave here. And I have more than twenty guys patrolling the town. So you don't need to worry.

Olivia: Sam.

Me: What?

Olivia: You forgot him. He was Lucys boyfriend after all. And if she liked him we should protect him. To honor her.

Logan: Okay, I'll see to it.

Olivia: Thank you. For everything.

Logan: Of course. I have to keep the loved ones of my brother alive, don't I? Oh I think I'll go check on Kyla to see that she doesn't feel alone. Or stalked by my men. And I'll order someone to look after  Sam and tell him that he'll be followed.

Olivia seems like she wants to thank him again but he's already out the door. The second she looks at me my lips crash onto hers.
