The road was filled with cars and motorbikes, the honking sound nearly making me go mad. People rushed past each other to reach their destination. That somehow made me bitter. Atleast, they knew their destination.

I didn't even know who I am or was. Was I a college student? A mechanic? Or maybe I worked in a bakery? Company? Or was I a fireman like John? Who knows, I could have been a thief for all I know.

Was I polite or rude? Did people like me or hate me? Did I have both my parents? Did I have any siblings? Did I have a girlfriend? Or a wife? And also children?

All these questions were always swirling in my mind, making me feel lost. I feel like my whole existance is one big question mark. I always smile away all my problems, hurt and confusion.

Everyone thinks that I am always happy, that I don't have a care in the world. But honestly, my smile was the mask. It masked my emotions from the world's cruel eyes. Everyone wears a mask, it is not just me. While I cover it up with my smiles, few do it with anger, some with being arrogant. Each and everyone wears a mask at one point of their lives. My point is this.

Maybe it would have been better if I was never born. It felt like I was cheating death. Coming alive after I stopped breathing.

I shook my head. This isn't the time to tkink about things like this. I should focus on the things at hand. I looked up from my shoes and my eyes widened when I saw a girl across the road. The road was the only thing between us and I wanted to get near her.

She was wearing a dark blue skinny jeans and a white tanktop. Her face and hair was covered with a scarf which matched her jeans, her eyes covered by an expensive looking shades. She had on a pair of dark blue high heels and overall she had a body of a model.

I wanted to see her face. There was this invisible thread that pulled me to her. No, it was more like a rope. An iron rope; a thread couldn't be this strong.

She fingered her scarf and it was obvious she was trying to take it off. I straightened up a little eager to look at her face. Just as she pulled her scarf off a truck passed her blocking the view I had of her. I cursed under my breath. I searched for the mystery girl, looking from left to right.

I suddenly caught a head with golden blonde hair walking through the sea of people twilring a blue scarf in her hands. The Mystery Girl. She looked back, her golden hair flying around her head due to the wind.

My breathing hitched when I saw her face. If I thought that her body looked like a model then her face looked like an angel. Scratch that, even an angel can't be that beautiful.

She had high, prominent cheek bones, cherry coloured lips, and her eyebrows were also a golden blonde telling me that her hair colour was natural. But because of the shades she had around her eyes, I couldn't see her eyes.

Pushing the door of a Cafe, she entered it. I looked up to see the Cafe's name. It read 'Hometown Cafe'. Forgetting the others around me, I started towards the road, the thought of going after the girl in mind. It was like I was in a trance; like she put a spell on me.

A hand roughly caught my elbows and pulled me back. Annoyed, I looked back only to see Stella glaring at me,"And where do you think you are going?, "She questioned. Usually I would have made a funny comment about it. But now I simply felt annoyed.I didn't want the Mystery Girl to go somewhere while I wasn't looking.

I pulled my hand out of her grasp, glaring right back,"And tell me, why does it matter to you?" I snapped. She blinked, taken back. I paused and sighed.

I knew it was uncalled for. She didn't do anything wrong. It was her daily behaviour, but once you get to know her, she is a really sweet girl. She would die if it means protecting the ones she cared about.

"Sorry," I murmured. She turned her back to me. It was her way of saying that t is okay. If I wasn't forgiven, then she would have shouted at me with few colorful words of her choice and maybe even some physical attacks.

Wanting to see Mystery Girl again, I started thinking of ways to go after her. "Hey guys, I am craving a coffee.Who wants a coffee?" Without waiting for their response, I started towards the Cafe.

Crossing the road wasn't easy and somewhere along the road, my friends caught up with me,"Woah! Slow down, dude!," I heard Ashton shout. Rolling my eyes, I stopped before the door of the Cafe.

Callie came up to me panting and huffing. John strolled down the road without a care in the world, like there weren't cars honking at him to move out of the way.

When all five of us were present, I opened the door, waiting for Stella and Callie to enter before I entered. I realeased the door from my hold making it to slam straight on Ash's nose. I smirked when I heared him curse loudly.

Once I placed my feet on the ground, my nose was engulfed with the sweet smell of cake, coffee, sandwiches and everything that will be present in a typical bakery. It was painted a warm brown with frames which held quotes and facts about cup cakes.

My eyes started to look for Mystery Girl on its own accord. My heartbeat started to fasten when I didn't see her. I was disappointed to say the least. There was an old lady with a boy who looked like was her grandson, a lady with two girls who were fighting with each other and many more but not her.

Suddenly, Ash whistled, "Look at that."

Oh,great. He has found a girl. Poor girl, going to be stuck in his trap. I sighed.

"She is pretty," Callie commented. Stella rolled her eyes and I could see a hint of smile playing on John's lips, his eyes filled with amusement as he watched Ash advancing towards his next prey.

I finally decided to look at the girl who surely was going to be crying at the end of the evening. My heart stopped as I saw that it was Mystery Girl. As if she knew that someone was looking at her, she looked up. She lazily looked around the Cafe until she locked eyes with me who was awkwardly satnding with John, Callie and Stella in the middle of a bakery.

Electric blue. That was the colour of her eyes and the first thing I noticed.

Her eyes widened when she saw me. I could see John looking at us curiously from the corner of my eyes, but I couldn't bring myself to care. Her eyes were like a pool of water drowning me, the clear water pulling me into it's depths as if it had a hold on my heart.

She blinked; once, twice. She rubbed her eyes like I would disappear when she opened them again. When I didn't, a small gasp left her red lips. She pinched her arm, hissing lowly when she pinched too hard. The skin on her arm which she pinched turned pink, notifying me that she had sensitive skin.

Her flawless face suddenly brightened, her eyes lighting up with a new glow. A smile formed on her lips filled with pure happiness. She stood up slowly, then she started walking towards me. Her eyes filled with hope, she whispered a word which made me freeze and my friends's head to snap towards our direction.

"Max?"
