Project's Name: You, Me & the Kids
Preface:
Olivia struggled to deliver her fifth child; a little boy named Noah.
She knew she wouldn't make it, her doctor Nora Reeves had told her when she took some exams at her 6th month. Knowing she wouldn't survive she gripped as hard as she could on her crying husband's hand and gave one more shot.
Suddenly she felt herself losing her breath. She shook as her heart skipped a beat.
"Ric, I love you and the kids so much..." She shook her head weakly. "I won't make it, I'm sorry...just... j-just let me see my son, he didn't cry... he... Ric is our son okay, where's Noah?" The nurse handed a little bundle to Olivia.
The baby's eyes flew open, he was beautiful, stained in blood but nevertheless beautiful. She smiled, he made it, now all she wanted was to see someone in special, someone who she knew would be outside in the waiting room crying or pacing.
"Amore, bring me Selena, I wanna see Selena." She breathed. The Nurse took her son from her and Ric went out. He didn't want to leave Liv's side but he knew she couldn't be stressed. He nodded and left the room. Selena entered almost stumbling. Liv turned her head weakly to watch her. "Watch your step, Luna." She smiled.
Selena came closer and hugged her stepmother, the woman she loved as much as her real mom, Mandy. Liv had been her second mom since she was 5 years old they had been inseperable since.
"Mama, it's gonna be okay, you'll feel better real soon, I promise." She said kissing Liv's cheek.
"Take care of them Luna please. They love you so much... they are the most important things I ever conquered in my life. You included."
Selena nodded, tears streamed down her face.
"I will. I'll love them as much as you love me." Selena let out a sob and Olivia squeezed her hand.
"I love you Selena, you're my oldest, before you I thought I would never be a better me, I thought I would never have a family, I would never have a child."
"But you did. You had five."
"You had five. I had one." Liv kissed Selena's hand, stroking her hair with the other. "Te amo tanto, amore, io sono la tua madre, tu sei la mia figlia, io... io te amo Luna..." (I love you so much, love, I'm your mother, you are my daughter, I... love you) Olivia gasped for air, she needed just a few more seconds, she needed to tell Selena. "Tell the others I love them too... I have already told them, a long time ago, since I found out, I told them you were their mother. Be their mother for me, carina, per favore Te amo."
"Anch'io, mammi." (Me too mommy)
Selena responded and hugged her. Soon she could here the monitors beeping and she continued hugging Liv until the nurses pulled her away to see if they could save her. They tried all they could but the Italian had already gone.
