The Tears I Shed For You

THE PHOTO ON THE SIDE IS SAGE!!!

"W-what?" tears started gathering in my eyes. Not today. God not today. Not ever!

He turned to the side, knowing that if he saw my tears fall his own would start, "My dad got a job. We're moving in a week."

"H-how long..." he didn't respond, "How long, Drake!"

"Four years," he replied bluntly. No. No no no no no. That's- "I'm going there until I graduate."

"How long have you known," this was the worst day of my life. By far. I can almost feel my heart shriveling up and turning to dust in my chest.

"A month...." he looked back as if nothing happened. I wanted to scream in his face. Ask him when exactly he planned on telling me, his best friend. I wanted to crall up in a ball and cry. I wanted to run. I wanted to grab his face and smash his lips to mine while I still had the chance. But I didn't. I just stood there. Staring. I could see a spark of happiness gleaming in his hazel eyes, "What did you want to tell me?"

I cant say it now.. I cant! "Josh asked me out, haha, it was really awkward!"

"So did you say yes?"

The truth is I haven't responded yet. I was planning on turning him down like I had with Ryan, Ian and Colby. I had no feelings for him... "Yeah...."

Three years later-

"Hey, Sage!! Sage!!!! Earth to Sage! Anybody in there?" Shelby called waving her hand centimeters away from my face daring to hit my nose. Shelby's a petite girl with strawberry blond hair that flowed down her back in big flowing curls. Exploding out from her caramel tanned skin are two sparkling emerald eyes that I adored. 

"Give it up Shelb. You know what day it is. Just give her a break," Jordan and Shelby are completely different in appearance and attitude. Jordan's short black hair swerves out in all directions. Her skin was farly pale and due to her father's heritage she had bright blue eyes. This was very odd for someone who was Japanese, "Look, it's prince charming."

"Hello, darling," Josh said with a kiss at my cheek. Like snow white I woke with the touch of his lips, "Are we still up for bowling tonight?"

I grinned as the perfect reply came to mind, "As long as you're still up for loosing."

They all laughed. And this is why I love Jordan, "I think he's used to that by now."

"Sadly yes," he said in a pretend pout as he leaned in for a kiss, "But it's worth it," his lips brushed against mine so soft that I felt like I would fall to pieces. Our lips fell in to place only seconds before we parted, "Definitely worth it."

"So what's it today? Your two year anniversary?" Shelb asked obviously not paying attention to the situation.

Josh smiled at me as we leaned in again, "Third in fact," our lips brushed together in a kiss that easily grew to making out.

Shelby giggled as Jordan said, "Okay, enough of that eat your food not each other, you cannibals."

I laughed at her remark and pulled away from Josh. With a bite of the cake I made last night stuffed in my mouth I asked, "So are you guys coming tonight?"

Shelby yelped like a puppy and clung to her boyfriend, Andrew, who had just walked toward us, "Count us in! After all, it's our year anniversary!"

I looked over at Jordan who was looking for Brian, "I don't know, I think we're both free..." Jordan and Brian were not the kind of couple that were perfect for each other. Jordan was a goody two shoes who always did all her home work, was always on time, and never did anything bad. But Brian, well imagine her then take the reflection. He's the bad boy of the school. Never does any work, never comes to class on time, and never does anything good. I don't get it. I know that I should respect her feelings but I don't trust him...

I looked his way and glared. I cant stand him. I gazed back to Shelby who looked like she was being stabbed in her mental stomach. I understood her just fine. Brian had hit on Shelby for about a week while Jordan and him were dating. We told her but he just said it was a miss understanding and that he was just trying to get to know her friends more. You might be thinking AWWWW!!! But Naww!!!!! So just seconds after he said that Jordan laughed and hugged him then guess what he did, HE FRICKEN WINKED AT ME!!!!! That jack ass. I swear if he hurts her I wont even let Josh handle it, I'll punch him right in the eye! "Cant wait."

"Hey guys, the usual?" Dani said with a laugh. I've always liked Dani, he's pretty cool. But I feel bad for him. You see he's kinda, well, he's kinda, gay (I dont feel bad for him because of that just be cause of this -->) he get's a hard time for it. *cry cry* But we always stand up for him because he's our buddy X3 (<-- face). We nodded, "Good thing you guys told me you were comin' I kept the lane open," our lane was 12 that way we could talk to Dani while we bowled. He doesn't get that busy, especially because works with a workaholic.

Dani slid to the side allowing me to jump over the counter to grab my shoes and ball that my dad bought me for Christmas. Oh just in case you were wondering, my dad owns the bowling ally, hence me being cursed to the bowling team every year. 

My eyes grazed down to lane two. It's been forever since I played there. About three years.... No no. Not today, today is a happy day. But it's also... No. Shelby turned to me, "Take a look at the hottie on lane two."

My eyes twitched to the bowler swinging his arm. His hair was a short cut light blond style and golden skin. He was cute but he wasn't him. What were you expecting, Sage! AH! GET YOUR HEAD IN GEAR!! "Sage, your first."

I walked up and placed myself two inches back from the middle dot and looked to the center arrow, my breath brushed my lips as I whispered, "Go."

The pins exploded leaving none standing. A sigh escaped my lips as I straightened out my back.

"I knew it was you! Been a while, hasn't it?"
