Y/n pov I opened my locker and allowing a note to fall. I picked up the note and read it. A smile appears as I read it. Ah. Romeo. Taylor giggles. SCIENCE CLUB ROOF. I walked up the stairs that lead to the roof. Wow it's so pretty up here! I commented. Yeah I come here when I just want to get away. Troy said. That was great you telling off Sharpay off. Troy said. I think I just humiliated myself into the next century. I said laughing a little. No! Come on! Troy said. So this is your private hideout? I asked. Yeah. Thanks to the science club. Which means my buddies doesn't even know it exists. Troy said. You pretty much have the whole school wired, Don't you Troy? Seems to me everyone on campus wants to be your friend. I said to Troy. Unless we lose. Troy said. I'm sure it tricky being a coach's son. I said. Makes me practice a little harder, I guess. I don't know what he's gonna say when he finds out about the singing. Troy said to me. You worried? I asked Troy. My parents friends are always saying, Your son's the basketball guy. You must be so proud. Sometimes I don't wanna be the basketball guy. I just want to be the guy. You know. Troy said. I saw the way you treated Kelsi at the audition yesterday. Do your friends know that guy? I asked Troy. To them I'm the playmaker dude. Troy said. Then they don't know enough about you, Troy. At my other schools I was the stunning smart geek girl. It's cool coming here and being anyone I wanna be. When I was with you I just felt like... a girl. I admitted to Troy. You even look like one. Troy said jokingly. I giggled softy at Troy's joke. Do you remember in kindergarten how you'd meet a kid and know noting about them, ten seconds later you're playing like you're best friends because you didn't have to be anything but yourself. I said to Troy. Yeah. Troy said. Singing with you felt like that. I told Troy. Well, um... I never though about singing. Til you. Troy admitted. So you really want to do the callbacks? I asked Troy. Hey, just call me freaky callback boy. Troy said. You're a cool guy. But not for the reasons your friends think. And thanks for showing me your top-secret hiding place. Like kindergarten. I told Troy giggling. The bell rang. Troy and I both sign as Troy takes my hand as we get back inside.
