I would say, life is amazing sense I got to Hogwarts. But that'd be a lie.
I guess I should introduce myself, I'm Philip Michael Lester, my friends call me Phil. I'm 12 years old and this is my first year at Hogwarts. I'm in Hufflepuff.
I know, the yellow house that's mascot is so weird and unrelated. A honey bagger. What's even the reason?
Anyways, first day, didn't get to platform nine and three quarters fine. Woke up late, as normal, didn't have time for food. And I come from a muggle household so I had to take myself. I held my breath and just hoped that I was getting on the right train. Also, I barely had anything since my parents thought it completely weird and unlikely that I was actually a wizard, they wouldn't bye me anything but a few books I needed and my uniform. I didn't have a pet either like the rest of the kids.
I felt singled out and different. Until I saw... him.
He was normally sized with curly brown hair and he looked like the same year as me. I didn't have a seat yet, and one was open next to him. He didn't have a pet either. I didn't get it, why didn't he? And I think he thought the same to me. That's when I tried to walk over to him with convenience and sat right next to him.
"Hi, I'm Phil." I said sitting down next to him, brushing my hair out of my eyes.
"I'm.." he paused as if he'd forgotten his own name, "Dan." He resumed.
"Hi Dan, are you a first year too?" I asked. Figured if I was going to spend the next 7 years here, might as well have some friends.
"Yea." He said simply. I looked at him and noticed his dark brown eyes. And he looked at me with this... oh never mind.
We talked on the way to Hogwarts. Turns out he lost his cat awhile ago, it was his mums.
We came to a slamming stop and here we where, the place that I never thought I'd be arriving. Hogwarts.
