This book is going to be written like 6 years after my last one :) I just wanted some time to go by
I opened my eyes to Emma yelling. Oh the joys of a Saturday morning with out Sidney here. "No stop give it back" she whined. "I had it first" my 5 year old screamed back, hearing a slap I got up out of bed. Normally Emma would let Bray-son play with whatever. What did he have of hers?"Owe It's mine" she yelled. Getting up I threw one of Sidney's shirts on and a pair of my dark blue shorts. "What in the world is going on out here?" I said placing a hand on my hip. They were in the living room. Toys scattered everywhere. I looked at Bray-son's hands. He had Emma's stuffed pink bear Colby had gotten for her. "Emma it's just your bear let your brother play with it" I sighed. All this commotion for a bear? "It's mine! Colby got it for me" she yelled getting up. I heard her stomps all the way to her room. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. "Bray-son you hungry bubby?" I asked him kissing the top of his head. He nodded his head. "Pancakes?" i asked. "Yes!" he yelled jumping up. "Okay I'll go make us some" I said. Watching him dance around the room I chuckled. I poured out the pancake batter and started to mix it. "Mommy" Bray-son said walking into the kitchen. "What baby" i said pouring some batter into the skillet. "When is dad going to be home" he asked kicking at the ground. "In a couple days bubby" I said as I watched his face fall. Sid has been gone since last week and it tears Bray-son apart every time he has to go. "I just miss him a lot" Bray-son whispered. "I know bubby. Maybe later we can face-time daddy okay?" I suggested. "It's not the same" he said running out of the room. I flipped the pancake and looked about the house. It was extremely empty in this big house.
"I'm thirsty" Emma said walking in the kitchen. I watched as she opened the refrigerator and got out some chocolate milk. She poured it into a cup and sat at the table. "Emma. Please stop growing up" I told her putting the pancakes on the table. "Mom you know I can't help it" she said making me laugh. "I love you baby cakes" I kissed her forehead. "I love you too mom" she said. "Bray come down here and eat" I yelled for him. He ran into the kitchen and sat at the table. "Mommy a car pulled up" he said. "Is it Aunt Maria and Bryan?" I asked. "No this car is black not white" he said shoving food in his mouth. He is definitely like his father. There was a knock on the door and I walked over to it. "hey Colby" I said opening the door. "Hey I was in town and wanted to see Emma sorry for just stopping by" He said. "No it's okay she is in the kitchen" I said. As he walked by me I felt like something was off, but what?
