Adams Pov:
Taxis ordered. Me and Tommy are on our way into town, I am actually very excited for tonight. I don't know why, I'm just really looking forward to it. The taxis just arrived, my heart is starting to beat extraordinarily fast. Me and tommy are just getting in the taxi for our night out. Shame that Monte and Ashley couldn't come, Monte so humorous to be around. I think it will go pretty well tonight, I'm just glad it won't be awkward because we've known each other for 4 months now. Not like my last bass player, when we went on a night out it was really uncomfortable. we only had him for 3 weeks.

"Where are we going exactly?" Tommy asked, giving Adam a quick glance, debating weather to look at him or out of the window.
"Oh, well there's this really nice place we can get a quick bite to eat, then we can just go for a drink or something."Adam expounded. "Sound good to you?"
At this point, Tommy was really excited, he looked out of the cab window with a big grin on his face, then nodded in approval. They soon arrived A small town in Miami. It was very hectic. Well what else would be expected on a Friday night? The bright lights were overwhelming. Tommy was so enthusiastic, he only lived in a small village so he never experienced anything like this before. Shoving through the hordes of people, Adam and Tommy eventually came to quaint restaurant under the name of 'bamboo Italian Restaurant' right at the edge of town. They headed inside. They were directed to a table for two and sat down. The restaurant wasn't that busy, which was good because Adam wanted it to be a relaxing atmosphere
"What would you like to order?" The waitress asked a few minutes later.
"I'll just have the lasagna please, and lemonade. Tommy?"
"Um.. I'll just have the same please." Tommy responded.
With the order placed, Adam and Tommy proceeded to talk. A few minutes later the waitress came back with two lemonades.
"Thanks." Adam commented.
"So tommy, how's life as our new bass player?" Adam asked.
"Yeah, awesome." Tommy wasn't really listening, he seemed really distracted, he kept looking around and fidgeting. "I... I'm sorry Adam, I've just had an awful past few weeks." Tommy mustered up only a sentence, he feared talking about his past.
"I'm sorry Tommy. I know you've had a tough time with your girlfriend. What happened anyway, if you don't mind me asking?"
'shit!' Adam thought. 'Probably shouldn't have asked, I don't want things to be uncomfortable for him.'
"Oh.. Yeah it's fine, it's ok because I trust you won't tell monte or ashley." Tommy muttered. Adam was silent. Adam really respected Tommy, he knew that Tommy has been going through a hard time and he wanted to help him through it.
"Ok." Tommy began. "It was only a few weeks ago. Me and Lisa were just in my house sitting on the couch together, our relationship wasn't going all that well. she was always on her phone, all the time I would see her just on her phone. One night We were watching a film and when she went to the bathroom I checked the messages on her phone." Tommy voice started to croak, he stuttered and started twiddling his thumbs. "She has been texting this other boy and the texts were very graphic I don't want to even say. Anyway, she came back and seen me on her phone and she totally went mental. She started shouting and screaming, she smashed things. And then... She... Hit me. But this wasn't the first time she's hit me.
"So that's how he got those bruises!?" Adam thought. then gasped.
"Tommy... I... How long has this been going on? You need to get away from her! She's not living with you is she?" Adam blurted.
"Adam it's ok, no she's not living with me, I'm fine. I broke up with her after this happened. I've seen tougher than her. She turned out to be a bitch anyway." Tommy explained with a week smile.
"No! Tommy this isn't ok! Is she gone for good?" Adam yelled very protectively.
"Yeah I hope so. She was never living with me so there's nothing for her to come back for. I'm happy I'm not with her anymore. I'm unhappy because of the good memories we've had but I've not really lost out on anything." Tommy clarified.
"Tommy if you would have told me sooner I would have helped you out." Adam stressed.
"I know it's fine, I know you would have." Tommy said feeling a little more reassured.
"Do you wanna come and stay at my place to take your mind off things for a while? I've got a spare room." Adam asked.
"That would be nice, thank you Adam. Your such a good friend to me." Tommy said.
'Oh crap! I'm blushing like an idiot.' Adam thought.
Tommy stood up and hugged Adam. It wasn't just a regular hug though, it was full of empathy and warmth.
Adam put his arms around Tommy's shoulders, Adam, with his face in Tommy's golden blonde hair, chuckled.
"I'm so glad I have Tommy as a friend." Adam thought to himself, letting his eyes flutter shut.
"Let's finish our dinner and go back to my place, let's forget that night out, we can do it again." Adam said beginning to feel much more relaxed.
"Yeah, relaxation sounds great right now." Tommy agreed. "Yess, I was kinda hoping we wouldn't have to go on this night out, don't think I could take the hangover." Tommy thought, taking a sip of his drink.
Time was nearing 7:30PM, Adam had finished his dinner, aside from Tommy who had barely touched his. Tommy's not that much of a big eater, he never has been. With all that stress on Tommy's back right now, it's no surprise. It wasn't all that noticeable. It was kind if hard to tell with all the baggy shirts he wore. Aside from the sunken collar bones, darkened cheek bones and tiny wrists, it wasn't obvious. Shortly later, they drove back to Adams place...
