"Iglesias! Do you know how dangerous crossing the border is? We could get shot!" Mom yells.
"Yes, I know how dangerous crossing the border is, but it's the only option." Dad replied.
"Actually, we could just stay in Mexico and build a new house that we could all live in together." Mom replied. "We could also just live in my abuela's house!"
"I know, but don't you want to explore the world?" Dad replied.
"Yeah, but not right now! Not when the kids are still going to school!" Mom replied.
"Well, we are doing it! It's my decision and it's the most important!" Dad yells before he hits his hand on the table.
"Hey! Your decision isn't the most important!" Mom yells back. "If anything, your decision is the least important!"
Mom followed him out of the room.
I looked at my siblings and my grandparents. We all, except my little sister and brother, had faces filled with shock.
