Prologue

Tick, tick, tick. The seconds were slipping away on The Woman's watch. Her car engine spluttered and coughed, still outside her house. Oh, why now of all times? This was a meeting wshe couldn't afford to miss, not that her car cared.
Knock, knock.
Her head jerked to her window, and she flinched.
'Get out.'
The voice was muffled, but she complied.
She raised her hands, though was ready to give a piece of her mind.
'Do you need directions somewhere? The nearest funny farm, perhaps?'
A figure of 6'10, enveloped with a metallic shell, and glistening blue eyes simply stared at her.
'If that's a costume, it's rather impressive,'
Still the figure stared, studying The Woman's body.
'Look, if you're just going to-'
The figure stepped forward.
Everything went black.
The Woman's head swung back as her eyes flashed white. Her arms jerked, then dropped to her sides. Her face became deadpan.
She climbed back into her car and drove off.
