chapter one

My mom and I were going to live with my tia and her family,since our tia suggested it. I have been alone with my mom since almost birth,and we have no family,only my mom's sister. We haven't seen her since I was 2,so my tia decided to change everything and invite us to her home,now that she has enough room for everyone.

"Estas lista?" my mom yelled. I look around my room to see if I'm missing anything.

"Uh..." I say still looking,"Uh yea! yea I got everything"

I grabbed my phone and earbuds. I look at my room one last time before closing it. It was all white and empty now that it has no furniture in it. I smile and close the door.

"Ya ama!" I said loud enough for her to hear. She was already waiting.

She looks up from her phone to see me with my luggage and with a big smile. She smiles back at me.

"Vámonos entonces," she said getting her things together and heading to the door. Before closing it I look around one last time.

"You'll be missed," I said. I closed the door and went inside the uber.

The uber ride was about 30 minutes since the airport was far. We arrived with time to spare, so my mom and I decided to get McDonalds.

"Estas lista para conocer a tu tia y su familia?" my mom asked.

"Si...nerviosa,pero feliz de que voy a ver a mi tia," I said taking a bite of my cheeseburger.

"Do you remember tu primo?" my mom asked. I give her a confuse face.

"Primo? I thought mi tia didn't had anyone...didn't she divorce that guy?" I asked even more confuse.

"Mija they did. Pero tu tia estaba embarazada cuando se habían divorciado..." she said. It took me some time but I gave her a smile.

"Yea mom,I'm happy to see him for the first time in for ever," I said standing up and trowing the trash. She smiles and we head to the airplane,after we got checked and stuff.

"Okay you're sitting next to me and some other person,you want to be in the middle?" my mom asked. I nodded a yes and let her go in front of me.

I ended up being between my mom and some old lady. She was nice and cute,she reminded me of my grandma.

"Mija wake up! We are here,"my mom shakes me a bit. I fell asleep all through the plane ride. We got out of the plane and got our luggage.

"Who is picking us up?" I asked my mom. She looked at me concerned.

"No se mija,hold up let me call," she said taking her phone out of the bag. She dialed a number,most likely my tia's number.

"Look for a black car," is all she told me. I looked for a black car,confused but I looked for it. I saw a guy, who look a bit familiar,like I've seen him before.

"El señor que nos va a recoger se llama Renato, supuesta mente tiene una camisa morada..." my mom said looking around. I look at the guy who seemed familiar.

"El?" I said pointing.

My mom walks towards him,"Disculpa, de casualidad usted se llama Renato?"

"Buenos dias! Si soy Renato,ustedes son la familia Cortes?" the kind man said with a big smile.

"Si somos nosotros!" I smiled back. He helped us get our bags while we waited.

"Y como les fue el viaje...um"

"Ana,llámame Ana," mom said. Renato smiled.

"Nos fue bien, I think,I fell asleep that's why," I answered. We all made a small talk with Renato. He was so nice and funny.

We arrived to our new home,where my tia lives.

"Estas lista?" my mom whispered. I nodded my head yes and grabbed my bag while Renato grabbed my mom's. I knocked the door twice. I got greeted by a boy.

"Hola,que les puedo ayudar?" the boy asked. He looked familiar too...

"Um estoy aquí con mi mama para ver a mi Tia Jenny," I told him. His eyes went big.

"Oh my,como están? Pásenle!" the boy opened the door wide. I gave him a small smile. Renato "bro hugged" him.

"Acaba de salir,fue a comprar comida para hacer," the boy said.

"Ah. Um no quiero ser grosera pero quien eres?" I asked.

"Perdón,soy Christopher! Hijo de Jenny. Tu primo," Christopher said with a laugh. His laugh made me laugh.

"Bueno hola mijo,soy tu Tia Ana, y ella es tu prima Nayely," my mom interrupted our laugh. Christopher gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

We heard a knock,being my kind self I went to open it.

"Tia!" I screamed. I hugged her tight,I've never seen her but it felt right to hug her.

"Hola mija! Nayely,wow como as crecido! Que hermosa te vez," she said as she let go of our hug. I blushed and helped her with the groceries.

We were all in the kitchen helping out with the food,except Renato,he left to get some other people. It felt nice to feel like a family. We were talking about our lives and they would talk about their lives,they even told us some stories about how they would get in trouble when they were young.

After we finished eating,Tia Jenny took me to my room. It looked similar to the one I had before. I grabbed my luggage and took my outfit for tomorrow and my pjs. I took a quick shower.

"Oye puedo pasar?" I heard Chris say.

"Pues ya estas adentro," I said with a giggle,Chris laughed too.

"Mañana tengo que ir a un lugar,que a lo mejor te gusta,nose. Pero te gustaría ir conmigo?" Christopher asked.

"Si guey! Acepto!" I said all happy. I was excited,this kind of made me feel that he wanted to know me. He smiled and left me alone in my bed.

I look at my phone,nothing.

"Ima sleep," and with that I fell asleep.

La idea de esta es similar a la historia de "My Fake Boyfriend" de Piercetheliizy_cx (check su libros,estan buenos!) No voy a copiar todo,pero ay unas cosas similares.
