Nothing, then everything. It was all blinding, moving so fast but also at the pace of grass growing, paint drying. I walked into ethereal looking whiteness, and started my journey through the nothingness of white light. Nobody would ever believe what happened that night
I hear the monotone chime of a bell. That dreaded sound I hate to hear every morning. I swing up out of my bed with the grace of a floundering fish. I grab my phone and fumble with my screen until I get to my alarm button and turn off that annoying thing. Just a the start if a day for a normal teenager you might think, right? But what's in store is much more than any ordinary day. Hi, I am known as David, an average run of the mill anti-social nerdy kid. I go to school with all the other kids, but some of them I am closer to, you might know the term as a "friend". I had saw them in the morning, but hadn't mustered the effort due to my grogginess to talk them. One of them was named John, the quirky and slightly annoying one of my friends, the second was Ryan, and well Ryan? Well he was just Ryan, plain ol' Ryan. He didn't really have any distinctive personality, or physical traits, and the third (and last) was Zoe, the trouble making, but intelligent last part of our "posse" I guess you could call it. The people I've been with (at mostly school albeit) through thick and thin. They would be the few that would experience what I experienced on this fated day.
I went through the normal routine that I do in my mornings. Sleepily standing in the cafeteria waiting for the mod of peers coming in to know to start heading towards 1st period. That's when a glint from the corner of my eye caught my attention. By now the halls were mostly clear of others, so I decided to head towards the light, and it seemed to emanate from the boys bathroom, I walked in and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary, until I saw a faint glow coming from the trash can. Going against my brains feelings, I started rooting through the disgusting trash. I had searched for a little less than 2 minutes when I decided that there was nothing there, and start heading towards 1st period so as not to face the wrath of the tardy bell. But in my mind, I was dwelling on what the heck was that.
1st period was just like any other day, Trying to figure out the behemoth that is math. A mostly fruitless endeavor. I then meandered my way to 2nd period, slunk my way towards 3th, lazily marched towards 4th, and then moseyed my way over to 5th, when a another strange occurrence happened. Nothing was in the room! I turned all about, surveying my situation and trying not to freak out. I noticed that the normal chatter from hallway had all but disappeared. The stools, the tables, all the glass beaker, were just gone! I tried to just think about what happened but couldn't focus on one thing before panic started to set in again. All of a sudden the room started to pulse a ugly shade of brown and reality seemed to warp and bend in impossible angles. Then a loud screech, like a knife on a chalkboard. I cupped my hands over my ears, shut my eyes and hoped and willed for this to all end. Then it did...
I opened to my eyes to see the room just as it looked the day before, with all my peers staring at me with a puzzled and slightly afraid look. Probably due to the strange position I was standing. I slowly turned my head to and fro, looking around for some sort of thing being different, so sort of discrepancy in.. in... reality. Nothing, nothing seemed wrong, besides the fact that I look like a fool, I slowly lowered myself to my stool setting down my backpack, and trying to act normal so I could process what just happened. Should I tell someone? No I would just seem weirder than I already am, no one would believe me. I tried to rationalize what I had saw. Thinking that maybe I am of my rocker, Maybe I had just gotten in a daze or something.Coming up with excuses for myself. I tried to not think about it hoping that maybe there wouldn't be a repeat of it later...
After willing myself to act sane and pull through 5th, I made my way down to then lunchroom and explained my self to my friends, and as I thought they would, they laughed it off and thought I was mad. For the rest of the day, all through 6th, 7th, and even walking back home and was thinking of what had happened. After a while I had thought I should just suppress my thoughts and move on, thinking it was just caused by maybe just a lack of sleep, of which most teens fall victim to after a long fight with Mr. Sandman. So going along with the thought of forgetting this "predicament" , I called up my friends seeing if we could get together or something. So we all met up at the local 7-eleven, got some snacks, and decided we were going to go see a movie. Along the way there (being driven by Ryan since he was the only one of us with a license), I saw things I noticed nobody else was seeming to notice, there was flashes of spherical shapped light floating about, after a while they started to accumulate. And then after a while we all fell into a heap into a dry, grassy looking desert field. Where were we....?
