Chapter 1
Summer time. Typical sunny morning, with hot beaches and hot dudes that girls flock over. But its far from my typical morning. In fact, its far from my everyday life. You know why? Because i was forced to go to camping this summer.
Its all because my Dad is going on a business trip again and no one is gonna be there to look after me. That is so stupid. I'm not a child anymore, i'm 17. I'll be turning 18 in the next two months.
How rude of me, my name is Chloe Andrea Evans. And like i said, i'm 17. I'm from Georgia USA. I'm in high school senior year. I don't really stand out much, i'm not very average either. I'm practically invisible. Well not really but you get the point. I don't even have a friend. I know, sad isn't it? But whatever. Having a friend won't benefit me anyway.
Right now, i have three weeks of summer vacation. But as i said, i was going to go to camping. More like forced to. That leaves me with just 1 week of my free time because the camping takes 2 weeks of my time.
I'm in my room packing my stuff for the camping tomorrow. And much to my dismay, i have to wake up early tomorrow AND i'm gonna be stuck to a bus for two freakin' hours until we reach our destination. And may i remind you that i am not an early riser.
Anyway, i was just about done with packing. I was just putting my phone, charger, camera, laptop and pocket wifi in my small bag. Those, are my babies. I practically bring them with me everywhere i go.
I zipped my bag but not before double checking if i have everything i needed to survive that hell hole aka camping. I tried pleading with my dad that i'm old enough to take care if myself and stuff but its just no use. He said he was just making sure that i was safe. Pfft. Yeah right. Like being in a wild jungle is safe. How will he even know that i'm safe if he's 100,000 miles away? If he really wants me safe, he'd stop going away on business trips so much, he'd stop leaving me alone at the house all the time. As much as I love him, I won't deny that he's a jerk.
Dad knocked on my door and told me we were leaving. I took all my bags and set it in his car trunk. I got in the passenger seat and plugged in my head phones. A few minutes later, after he placed his things in the trunk for the business trip, he went inside the driver's seat and started the car, claiming that we were going to eat at a Mc Donald's Drive through. Great. He doesn't even have the time to eat breakfast with his daughter in a proper diner. Instead, he brings me in some drive through fast food restaurant.
I ordered a cheese burger, medium french fries, and orange juice.
"Don't worry sweet heart, i'm only doing this for your safety. I'm gonna be gone for a while" He said.
"But i'm 17 Dad, i can take care of myself" i mumbled. He sighed and just ignored my remark. I sighed also and just continued eating while listening to music.
I was listening to 'counting stars' when my dad pulled up. We were already in front of the bus stop. Whoa, i didn't expect to see this many people going to a summer trip.
And famous head cheer leader Britney is here too? Wow. Its so unlike her. I thought she was just gonna be going to salons to make sure her hair and nails are perfect.
"See! A lot of people are going to camping too! I'm sure you have some friends who would keep you company" He said as he helped me unload my bags from the trunk.
What a great dad. He doesn't even know i have no friends. He knows nothing. I thought as i kissed him goodbye and took a seat at the very back of the bus.
I'm planning on going unnoticed throughout this camping trip to avoid any unnecessary activities. Again, i plugged in my earplugs listening to "Counting Stars" by One Republic, not really intending to make small talk to anyone. I just wish this trip wouldn't last long enough for me to die from boredom.

Two hours, three big chips, 20 song and 2 bus stops later, we were finally here. I looked out from my window and was greeted by tall trees and flying birds scattered everywhere. I sighed and gathered my things. Let the fun begin. Note the sarcasm.
Mr. Robinson, the scout leader for this camping trip, gathered us all with his shiny silver whistle.
"Alright, so this camping trip will be lead by me. You will address me as Scout leader Robinson. All gadgets will be prohibited when were undergoing our camp activities and will only be allowed inside your cabins" He said with his husky voice. Mr. Robinson is a middle-aged man, about 35 years old.
"Alright, from now on, i will address all of you as 'scouts'. We have 1 week of this trip and i plan on making it one hell of a ride for all of you" he continued. Although i don't think anyone is listening except for me and some nerds who were probably forced to join this trip by their parents.
"Now, each cabin may only consist of two people. Its your choice on who you want to be paired up with. You may start grouping now" He finished saying. All of the students grouped themselves into two and of course, i was left with no one because the numbers are odd.
"Miss Evans, is it okay if you stay at a cabin alone?" Mr Robinson asked me. I nodded, trying to keep my excitement from exploding. I guess i do have some luck after all! I love this trip already. Well, except for the 'no gadget' while camping policy but, oh well.
I was so happy that i had to keep myself from doing my victory dance so i just did it inside my head. Yes! This trip just couldn't get any better. A room by myself is just perfect. I thought while smiling to myself as i imagined the things i could do alone in my cabin.
"Sorry i'm late Mr Robinson!" Someone shouted behind me. I ignored it and just continued smiling as i went back to my beautiful daydream.
"That's Scout leader Robinson to you. Your timing couldn't get any better. Ms Evans won't be alone after all." Mr Robinson said with a smirk.
My face fell and my teeth clenched. That single cabin was my only happiness and some late comer is just going to barge in and take it all away?
I turned around fuming. My jaw dropped as i saw who i was going to be paired up with in the cabin. Oh no. No no no no no. This cannot be happening.
Of all people, why him? Why Charles Lucas Hernandez?
