The Birthday Wish

Once there was a rich couple who wish to have a son. After many months passed, the man Lionel, was expecting his wife to be pregnant but tragically, the unborn child did not survive.

Their second attempt  also failed the same as the first attempt.

Soon Lionel thinks that they maybe wasn't meant to have a child. So he prayed and prayed to God of having a son.... He prayed to God with the willing of his heart...

Several months passed, how surprisingly!

Lionel and his wife soon to have a baby boy coming.... They were all excited. They even prepared the baby's room, clothes, and toys...

Lionel was so surpringly excited.... He was so happy and brought joy to their house, inviting the neighbors, friends, and relatives to celebrate.. But he did not thank God first.....

In the month of the child's birth.... the wife called Lionel to hurry up go to the hospital.... But Lionel was still in the middle of the meeting.. And he can not cease the meeting..

So by the time when Lionel got to the hospital, late.

He was so excited to see his son and wife, but tragically, everything was gone. As he fell unto the floor, crying. After the doctor said the his wife died after giving birth to his child.

Lionel was terribly full of hatred after seeing his wife dead, as he hold his son unto his arms, wrapping him with soft cloth blanket.

He regreted the meeting that wasn't worth.... The meeting was all about financial and money, and he never left the meeting without money...

He told to his son and  to himself that they need no one for them... Noboy to trust, nothing to depend on, and nothing to be thank of.....

Money was everything inside Lionel's mind..... And started to walk away from God.

7 years later.....

As soon it was the seventh birthday of the young boy named Daniel. Lionel was anxious about his son, for he never told about his deceased wife to Daniel. And lately it can cause a great woe (kalungkutan) to Danny which he is suffering from heart failure.

 To make Danny happy, Lionel decided to put a Birthday Party, inviting all the neighborhoods, friends and relatives...

As the Party was about to start, everybody was so excited to see the Birthday boy....

When Danny blow out the seven candles in the three layer cake, Lionel ask his son that what did he wish for.

Daniel said:     Daddy, I want three red roses..

Lionel:  Son, Why three red roses?

Danny nod as like he didn't want Lionel to know for what the three red roses for..

                                        10 years later.....

As time passed by, Daniel grew and become a genial man...... Everybody likes him for being smart, kind and having respect.. He's a valecdictorian at their school and a grandmaster champion in Chess...

But one thing that Daniel did not know is that his father was a casanova, ever since his mother died.

But Lionel kept it a secret from his own son... And spent all the money to every woman he knows. He can buy everything that a woman ( kabit) wants like jewelry, expensive cellphones, and even their ownselves...

 Months passed as Daniel graduated from High School, he met a gorgeous girl named Jasmin. The two of them fell in love like Love At First Sight. Daniel loved Jasmin so much that he can even give up everything just for love.

(cellphone rings)

Daniel: Dad?

Lionel: Oh, Hi Danny... Who are you?

Daniel: Fine. Why'd you ask?

Lionel: Oh, I'm worried .... All I just want you to know is that I'm so sorry for calling you yesterday...

Daniel: Dad, It's ok... Everything was fine..

Lionel: I mean, are you sure? Because I didn't make it that day on your Birthday and for your...

Daniel: graduation.... I know.

Lionel: ok, hereit is.... What do you want for me to buy you a present?

Daniel: dad, I'm  not a little child anymore..

Lionel: I know. Just one.

Daniel : Okey, dad, I want Three Red Roses..

Lionel: Daniel, what is the " three red roses"  for??
