~Mitch~
I took a deep breath as I sat in an empty chair at the back of the classroom. Today was Monday, the worst day ever out of the entire week. I looked around and saw Novelli and caught a glimpse of her crystal blue eyes. I still can't believe I was in love with that unmodified piece of intricacy. Although, I'm the only one who knows about it. "Mitch?" A familiar voice rang in my head. "Are you okay?" I shook my head quickly and looked up. I shrugged at the blonde headed teacher, Mr. Coubertin, signifying that I had no mean to interact much with him. "Ah. I see. Silent treatment." He walked back to his desk and spoke into a small walkie-talkie. Suddenly the intercom beeped, "Mitchell Hughes and Novelli Darby, please report to room 17. Mitchell Hughes and Novelli Darby, please report to room 17." Then it stopped. I grunted with anger, but being called down to that room was pretty much an every day thing for me, and I stood, gathering what I had brought to school that day. Novelli stood as well and immediately went out the door. I followed and hurried to catch up to her. "What did you do this time, Mitchell?" She asked with a sense of disappointment in her voice. "Nothing." I told her as we walked.
When we finally got there, nobody was in the room. "Huh." I shrugged and sat on the top of one desk. Novelli carefully placed herself in the chair next to me. "Try not to talk to me much."
"Why not? Afraid I'll rub off on you, right?" I picked at a tattoo on my arm, the skin turning red. "No..I just don't want you to talk to me, that's all." She got up and moved a seat over. "What's so bad about me? Just because I'm not like all the other guys in the school, with good grades and great looks, doesn't mean I'm any less than they are. It doesn't mean I'm bad either."
"I understand how you feel but please..try and keep your thoughts to yourself." Then she cracked open a book and began to read. What a jerk.
