My Best Friend or Cody?

It all started one stormy afternoon. Gemma found Cody Simpson. Well technically she saw a video of him on YouTube and was instantly a fan. She followed him on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc; 3 years passed and she became less of a fan, her hope started to fade and she began to change. It wasn't Cody who did this to her. Her Dad and Step-Mother separated. She became an emotional reck, she cried all the time, was really quiet towards everyone. She moved away from everything she once cared about, except for her best friend and him ... Cody was her last bit of hope. Gemma had money stashed away for a very special moment.

GEMMA'S POV

"CODY SIMPSON TICKETS $175 GO ON SALE IN 7 MINUTES AND 27 SECONDS" the daily news reporter announced through the television. This is it I have been waiting for this for months and now its finally here. As the time got closer and closer my heart started beating faster and faster. Screams were heard from the television as they counted down from 10. With my phone in my hand and my laptop in front of me I was ready. 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1!

The screams were loud as I pressed the call button and attempted to buy the tickets at the same time. I clicked the final button at the bottom of the page and my power went off. Great a blackout! My phone was still dialing and quickly stopped as the line was busy. WHAT A FANTASTIC DAY! I groaned out load and logged into twitter. My notifications were going of the hook, everyone being happy about getting their tickets. Grrrrrr I wanna punch them in the face. I mentally face palm myself when I get a text message from my dad. "Sorry Gem, I accidently cut through a power line, should be fixed within a week"

I composed a quick tweet on my green iPhone saying "Missed out on @CodySimpson tickets because of blackout :( Disappointed but I guess there's always next time!" I pressed post and turned my phone off. I placed it beside my bed side table and climbed under my green blanket. I fell asleep dreaming about pink goats for some unknown reason haha.

I woke up to my phone beeping every few seconds. What the?? I pick my phone up and unlock it, it opens up to my twitter page. hmmmm that's funny, I'm sure I closed all my apps? I scrolled through my newsfeed not believing what I was seeing.

I dropped my phone and tears of joy ran over my face, I was so happy. I turned my music in really loudly and started dancing around to Cody's new single SURFBOARD. .

Once I started I calm down I picked up my phone and noticed I cracked the screen. "Arghhhhh" I said to myself. I opened up the twitter app and noticed I was up to 1,000 followers, wow that's strange I swear I only had like 300 yesterday? I scrolled through the names and up came a blue dot with a tick! The name next to it actually shocked me,

I swear I'm actually going to pass out this is so fricken amazing. "Message!!!!" screamed my phone haha. I looked at my Dm's and sure enough there's one from Cody.

Hey there beautiful, I'm really sorry to hear about the blackout. So that's why I have organised 2 front row ticks for my show next week. Backstage passes are included so we shall meet. I have emailed them to you as I kinda stalked your twitter page. Haha a tad creepy I know.

Holy crap he messaged me twice, I didn't even realise I was crying until the tears landed on my phone. I quickly dialled my best friend Luke Hemmings,

"Hey Gem" Luke said into the phone happily.

"hey oh my god you will never guess what happend!" I screamed.

"honey everyone knows it's all over twitter, the cheerleaders for my team are talking about it right now" he laughed.

"Will you come with me to his show? Front row tickets and backstage passes, please come?" I begged.

he laughed once again.

"Babe of course I'll come with you, your my best friend and I wouldn't wanna let you down."

"Okay then, are you still coming over this afternoon?" I asked while biting my lip.

"Yeah training just finished so I'll be there in 10" he said.

"Okay I'll see you soon"

"Alright bye Gem, 143" he said softly

"Love you too bye!" I sighed and hung the phone up. I looked at what I was wearing and freaked.

I need to change like asap! I ran to my cupboard and tried to pick out an outfit. I removed all my clothing and put on my lacy pink push up bra and matching boy legs. I grabbed one of my favourite shirts Luke had given me and placed it over my head. I pulled on a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and put my black vans on. I went into the bathroom and applied a small amount of makeup and brushed my hair. I left it down and went and grabbed a SnapBack that also happened to belong to Luke. I smiled into the mirror at my appearance as there was a knock on the door.

I skipped downstairs and opened up the door to Luke. He embraced me with a hug and said "Hey Gem, you look awesome" I blushed slightly and grabbed his hand as I pulled him upstairs to my room. We went inside and sat on the bed. "Lucas! were going to see him! I'm so excited are you, of course you are! ahhhhh I'm so, so, I dont know how to say it" I rambled on.

Luke's POV

she opens the door and I embrace her with a hug, while she's moving back I casually check he out. "Hey Gem, you look awesome" I say without thinking. she blushes slightly and pulls me up into her room. she begins to ramble on about Cody as I zone out and glance at her lips. C'mon Luke just kiss her already you know you want too! No it might ruin our friendship. Screw it I'm going for it.

I slightly move forward and place my hands on her cheeks, I move my head so our mouths just touch. I lean forward so that I'm fully kissing her now. After about 5 seconds she hasn't replied so I pull away only to have her lips slammed onto mine. My hands make their way to her hips and hers to the back of my head. I run my tongue along her lips hoping for acceptance. She accepts and our tongues dance as my mouth explodes with sparks. Her hands tug at the end of hair making me moan a little. She smiles into the kiss which makes me laugh.

I pull away and he both start to laugh. I was the first one to speak up. "Gem? I umm, I , I was wondering if, if you would do me the honer of being, being my girlfriend?" I stuttered. She gave me a big grin and pecked my lips. "Of course I will Lukey" I began to grin widely and her words. "no matter what happens you will always be my best friend" I whispered into her ear.
