Veca woke up with her alarm buzzing and the smell of eggs and bacon wafted her room. Sitting up she stretched her limbs with a yawn. She's still very sleepy having only 2 hours of sleep. Being a med student is not easy. She needs to memorize every single part of the human body. Even the insects'! It's not like she's planning to cure tiny little beetles after she graduates!
As a part of their school's medic, she needs to participate in today's activity since it's their inter-school sports festival. Players from different schools of different sports will be coming to prove whose the best. Veca rolled her eyes thinking of the drama that's sure to come. Jocks are really full of pride, never backing out even they know they're at fault.
With the thought of prideful men, Veca covered her face with a pillow to muffle the screams she's ought to make. Remembering her disdainful, pity excuse of an ex-boyfriend, she started shouting till her lungs can't take it no more. She started rolling and kicking and punching things. She knows it's immature to throw tantrums but how can't she? A boyfriend of 3 years, imagine?! Three years! Is now her ex because of a new 'hot' girl that her ex-boyfriend can never take his eyes off. He didn't even gave her the proper break up because he's so full of himself thinking that she doesn't need any closure because the more he apologize, the more his immoral behavior is shown in highly vivid colors.
Getting up, she started picking clothes fit for the heavy activities ahead and went straight to the bathroom with heavy stumping of feet. Her blood still boiling with the idea of her ex-boyfriend of 5 days—more or less.
It's not that she still love (or did she even loved him?) him, or she still haven't moved on, it's just the idea of not having any clarification and closure.
Turning the shower on, Veca squeaked and immediately regretted the action. She haven't even thought of heating the water!

After the tough wrestling with cold water, Veca is now sitted in the kitchen, filling her tummy with calories. She doesn't mind gaining weight, not at all. Who does she need to please? No one, no one at all.
"Veca, dearest, that's enough egg for today, you know it ain't good having too much protein. And too much fat. And too much belly. And too much weight. And too much unhealthiness. And too much..." And the words just continued flowing from her mother's mouth. Oh how much she loves her mom, she's the best. She's also good in what most mothers do, nagging. Of course it's infuriating but it makes her feel loved and looked after. But today is just, you know, too much.
Having heard enough, Veca simply hugged her mom and kissed her good bye.
"I'll be fine mom. No need to fret. You know, it's not good to worry yourself too much."
Veca twirled and faced her mom with a big smile on her face, "See? I look great! No need to worry. Love you mom."
With that, she kissed her mom again and with a heavy sigh, and a heavy heart aaaand a heavy derrière, (she's rather generous in that part) she immediately went out the door.
Packed with band aides and ethanol and gauzes and bandages and cotton and pain killers and crackers and biscuits and sweets and chocolates, she's ready to go.
She may be unsure of what will come, but she sure is ready.
As she stepped on the school grounds, she felt the change of atmosphere. The tension is high, most athletes are doing their own preparation and showcasing what they can do. Veca rolled her eyes. Come on, it's like they're broadcasting their strengths while unconsciously revealing their weaknesses. Can't they feel the prying eyes of their opponents? Studying every movement they make? Are they numb or simply stupid?
