I don't think we need to be reminded of the terrible things that happened between the Phantom Troupe and the Kurta Clan many years ago however we all know the last survivor, Kurapika and the mass murderer, Chrollo Lucilfer. I can't help but think they would be the perfect team. Both filled with pure hate and incredible power, unlike me of course. I probably shouldn't be the one to write this as one of them is my leader and the other is my worst enemy but I'll be dead by the time anyone reads this anyway. I'll introduce myself just in case anyone else is reading that isn't the left over Phantom Troupe members, the chain user or that perverted clown. If you're only here for the story then my identity may be of no interest to you. I'm the one that died an untimely death yet had the best dress sense, Shalnark.
It was 10am and Kurapika was sprawled out on his messy bed. His hair was untidy and he was still fully clothed. It's a mistake to think that the boy did this on purpose. The night before he had simply been to tired to take off his clothes and immediately went to sleep however this didn't stop him purposely avoiding his friends calls. Kurapika loved his friends, who he had met during the Hunter Exam but he never had time to contact them and when he did, he was too exhausted to have a proper conversation with them. The young boy limply slid off his bed and onto the soft carpet. Suddenly his phone started to vibrate, it was on silent but the vibration on the wooden table it was lying on made a irritating noise. Kurapika groaned. He walked straight past his ringing phone and into the bathroom where he washed his sweaty face and combed his hair, it was getting way too long now and definitely needed a cut but yet again he never had time. Once he had finished his cold shower and had washed away all of last nights sweat, he dressed himself in his usual robes then looked down at his phone. It was his friend and co-worker, Melody. He longed to ignore it some more but he knew it was probably a job for him. He hesitantly picked it up and scrolled through the missed calls then rang her back.
The rain patted down heavily on the library windows and the cold air leaked in. Kurapika shivered slightly then checked a piece of paper which was scrunched up in his pocket.
"Medicine. Medicine. Medicine." Kurapika repeated to himself as he slowly walked past many bookshelves. He looked up and finally saw the book he was looking for, Melody wanted to do some research however she was stuck looking after their boss and she didn't have time. The young blonde boy stood on his tip toes in attempt to reach the book but it all ended in failure, there was no way he could get to it. Kurapika clenched his fists in anger and embarrassment then rushed towards the reception to get a stool but by the time he had returned there was a man already stood there. He had huge, round eyes and a large black coat which had white fluff at the end of the sleeves. The man was holding a book out towards Kurapika with his pale hand, Kurapika nervously took the book and started to examine the man. He had a defined face and his hair was as black as blindness, his long coat was open and underneath he wore nothing except gothic jeans and long boots.
I've always wondered how Chrollo could walk around without a shirt on; Pakunoda too. Its usually raining here and yet the cold never seems to both them! Hmm. Maybe they're trying to show off? Just to clarify, I'm not talking about them showing off their defence against the cold. Anyway-
Kurapika decided he'd had enough, he'd only gone to get the book and now that he had it, he could leave. Quickly, he walked towards the exit and was nearly swept away by the incredibly strong wind. Could he really walk home in such horrible weather? The boy sighed then sluggishly wondered back into the huge, white room. He opened the medicine book even though he cared nothing for it and began reading. Kurapika didn't understand most of it because he wasn't interested in that sort of stuff yet continued until he had read the whole thing. By the time he had finished reading the book, which was supposed to be for Melody, he had found a comfy red leather chair that he had snuggled himself into. With no energy left in him, he spinelessly got up from his perch and headed towards the exit, yet again. Outside, sat on the pavement, was the man he had seen earlier. He had his back up against the wall and he had his hands in his fluffy pockets, next to him was a large, hard-covered book. Kurapika was curious. He sneaked up next to the mysterious man who was dangerously sleeping in the street then carefully grabbed the strangers book and quietly flicked through it.
Before the boy could even get past the first page, the stranger snatched the book out from his grasp and closed it suspiciously.
"What are you doing?" He asked with a intense and deep voice.
"I- I was just curious!" Stuttered Kurapika, he looked nervously down and the ground.
The dark-haired man didn't looked angry. In fact he seemed to hold no emotion and carried on staring at the boy.
"Well, it sure isn't anything very interesting kiddo." He replied.
"Then whats the harm in me reading it?" Kurapika questioned.
Chrollo smirked and didnt reply.
"Some sort of smutty romance novel?" Kurapika teased.
"What if I was?"
"Ew."
The older man chuckled, "Joking!"
Kurapika giggled, it had been a while since he had joked with someone.
"Whats you're name?" Pika asked.
"Chrollo Lucilfer, and yours?"
"Thats a strange name! My name is Kurapika."
Kurapika took his phone out and checked the time, 14:30.
"I'm afraid I have to leave!" He exclaimed.
"Oh?"
"I have to take this book to one of my co workers and I've spent way too much time here."
"It was nice speaking with you, Kurapika." Chrollo smirked.
"As with you, Chrollo." Kurapika waved as he started to walk away.
Chrollo was just about to walk the opposite way until he remembered. He quickly ripped a piece of paper out of his book and sprinted back down the street towards the blonde boy.
"Whats wrong?" Asked Kurapika worriedly.
"Here." Chrollo gasped for air, he was holding out a small piece of written on paper. Kurapika took it from his grasp and started unfold it, inside was a long number.
"Whats this..?" He asked.
"Call me."
