UKAKU
Is spread out like feathers that are released from the shoulder area.
It specializes in high speed attacks, the kagune is lightweight making it easier to deliver high speed attacks.
The highest method of using the kagune is crystallizing it. Shooting small crystal spike-projectiles that are far-ranged. Those are not very affective at close combat, it's like their weakness.
Some Ukaku types can generate powerful lightning bolts, it's really really rare though.
A lot use this as a shield, several can shape it as sharp blades. They have a high chance of ending battles quickly.

KOUKAKU
This kagune is released below the shoulder-blade. It is heavy and extremely robust, it's most sturdy for defence. Mostly shields and armors, but you can also use it as offence.
They can be shaped as drills, hammers, blades, and swords.
Compared to a Ukaku's speed, it moves pretty slow.. A Rinkaku can deliver severe damage to a Koukaku and break their kagune, but can block a Ukaku's attacks because of their guard.

RINKAKU
Is released at the back around the waist, has an appearance similar to scaled tentacles. A Rinkaku wielder has powerful regenerative abilities, some can even survive the most critical damage.
They have a superior power that exceeds brute strength. Some can manipulate the shape as like blades or claws. This kagune is soft but you can combine tentacles to make a larger and stronger one. They have severe problems with balanced Bikaku. The Bikaku can easily cut off a Rinkaku's tentacle making it defenseless.
A Bikaku's attack can disarm a Rinkaku's healing ability.

BIKAKU
Has a tail-like appearance released from the tail-bone/coccyx. Has decent offense, defence, and speed. Has no notable strengths or weaknesses.
Can have 1-14 tails, guess how many Reader-san will have ;)
They will be overwhelmed by the faster Ukaku user and will lose against the far-ranged attacks. They can break the Rinkaku.
