It started when i met someone
A tall and handsome stranger.
Someone from the world above,
Then I didn't consider the danger.
We began to talk more and more,
with topics of all shapes and sizes,
I fell hard and fast for this stranger man,
At first he showed nothing but kindness.
Then I introduced him to friends,
and they began to hit it off,
They always commented on how he behaved
so charming and proper and soft.
But I did not know the cautions of it,
The hypnotizing words,
My friends fell hard and fast for him,
Love soaring as high as birds.
However when the time came,
he wouldn't let me go,
His voice grew rough and terrifying,
as I told him no.
The harsh words he once spoke,
Leaving my heart of glass in stacks,
Each dagger he layed against me,
was like taking a knife in my back.
We were never to speak again,
And I am grateful for that vowel,
But when I went to tell my friends,
Everything that happened had gone down.
They argued and screamed at the words i spoke,
Chasing me through an endless maze,
They refused to believe a word I said,
As they were under his gaze.
So now I sit alone in silence,
slowly growing tired and old,
I learned that to not get your heart broken,
pretend to not have a heart at all.
