"Kenz, are you ready for the auditions today?" says my older sister, Maddie.
We're sitting at the kitchen table, eating our breakfast quickly before school.
"What auditions?" I ask her.
"You know, for the school play, Cinderella?" Maddie replies.
"Oh, I'm not auditioning" I say.
"Ha. You have to" Maddie chuckles.
"What do you mean?" I ask, not having a clue what she's talking about.
"It's compulsory. Everyone has to audition."
"But, I'm terrible at acting" I whine.
"But, you're also a really good singer" Maddie says.
I slouch in my seat, not happy about this news I have just heard.
"Don't worry Kenz, if you don't want to be in the play then just do really bad at the audition and they won't pick you" Maddie says.
"Oh, that won't be a problem..." I mumble.
