I had a plan you could say, to end it. End my suffering and heartache.
Oh how badly I wanted to, how badly I wanted to die.
After Alex left me, I had planned it. Planned to go to the tallest building in New York, and jump off.
I went to the Cortez Hotel, and when I got to the front desk, I guess I was shaking so much that the transvestite behind the desk got nervous. With a cigarette between her lips, she said, "You okay, dear?"

I nodded quickly, and she handed me a key, figuring I didn't want to stick around. I went to the elevator and went up to the top floor. Room 103 was my room. I opened it and locked myself inside and went straight to the window.

I took a deep breath and stepped up on the ledge, and for some reason the window was already open, as if someone knew I would be coming.
I looked down to see the city beneath my feet.
I began to lean forward, planning on letting myself fall to my death. But someone wrapped their arms around my waist and pulled me back off the window, and against their body.
I struggled against them, "Let me go!!" I screamed and kicked.

I then heard a thick accented man, "No, you're not leaving."
He pushed me aside and hurried to the window, slamming it shut.
He was medium height, white, had black, slick hair, and a thin mustache. He seemed young, but old sounding.
"No, move out of my way!" I yelled and ran at him, hoping he'd move, but he just grabbed my by the waist and held me tightly against his body. I turned my head to face him, and he was smiling at me.
"But darling, you just got here."
