"So when is dad getting here?" I asked while taking a sip from my water.

" I really dont know, he was supposed to be here hours ago!" Mom exclaimed

My father and mom got a divorce 2 months ago, so every summer i would go to my dads. At that moment dad walked in holding a beautiful hispanic women's hand.

"John what took you so long.!" My mother shouted standing up and shaking the table in the process.

Father ignored her and walked up to me giving me a tight hug. "I missed you darling, are you all packed up and ready to go?"

" Yes daddy i've been ready a long time ago." I murmerd

" John answer my question!!" screamed mom making us all jump. Jeez, mom seriously needs to calm down

" Sorry Mrs. Carter, but our plane got delayed." A soft voice answerd.

" And who are you supposed to be?" Mom spat at the beautiful women.

Dad walked over to the women and said, "Sorry i didnt introduce you earlier, but Diamond meet your step mother Lafrina." What! since when did dad get married! i never even got the invitation, worse! I did NOT know about it.

" Um hi." I managed to squek out. Lafrina walked over and gave me a warm hug.

" Its good to finally meet you, you too Mrs. Carter." She said turning to my mom.

" Its nice meeting you too, but i would like for you and my daughter to excuse us please." Mom said

" Lafrina is not going anywhere, Diamond leave!" Dad said wrapping an arm around Lafrina and scolding at me. With out a word i got out of the house and walked outside on our porch. I sat down on my favorite rocking chair. The hood looked so alive that day, kids were out chasing eachother, families were out barberquing, while dads mowed their lawns. While me? was sitting out here waiting for my mom and dad to be done arguing. I could hear mom screechig from out here, at dad. Poor Lafrina she had to go through with their fighting. Would you like to know what caused my mom and dad to divorce? Well it all started when my mother received a job at being a nanny at some rich mans house. Since that day mom would talk non stop about her boss, only behind my dads back. So one night my mom told me and dad she had to work overnight cause her boss went on a date, i knew she was lying by the way she went to work all dressed up. My dad believed her. But when she came back home she was soo drunk. She was drunk enough to be able to tell my dad where she really went. I was upstairs laying on my bed, when i heard her screaming at mu dad. The next thing i knew they got a divorce. That was the worst day of my life!
