(Third Person's POV)

Emma Swan walked into school on her first day of senior year. She was unusually giddy this year compared to previous years. It was almost over. She could almost escape this prison. Just a few more months.

Her backpack was heavy with books and she didn't mind the weight. She was perfectly happy until.... She ran right into someone. That someone was Killian Jones.

"Watch where you are going four eyes!" He said as his friends laughed. He joined them as they walked away. Emma didn't mind though. She was used to it after all the years of it. Four eyes. Nerd. Hermit. She honestly thought they needed to come up with some new names.

She had made it to her locker and opened it. She piled her books in a neat pile at the bottom. Just how she liked it. Her hand grasped her timetable once she hung up her backpack.

English 12- Room 2304
Mathematics 12- Room 1156
Physical Education- Gym 2
Film 12- Theatre

It was a pretty easy semester as Emma saw it. She was really good at English. Math seemed pretty simple. Gym was something anybody can do if they actually put a little effort into it. Who wouldn't want to spend an hour everyday watching movies?

She smiled as she put her English binder in her backpack and zipped it up.

"Hey Emma!" She heard throughout the hall. It was Regina, one of Emma's best friends. She was followed by Mary Margaret, their other best friend. They were an airtight group. They had met in 8th grade and they sort of morphed into this ball of awkwardness. They loved it. If the whole world saw them as awkward, they didn't care, all they needed was each other. It's sounds tacky but it's true.

"Hey guys!" She waved as she shut her locker. "You excited for this year?"

"Of course." Mary Margaret squealed. "We get to leave this prison after 5 years! Not to mention we get to be in the year end play!" They were all excited. That is how they became friends in the first place. They were all in the same drama class and their love for it bonded them together.

"I am so excited!" Emma replied eagerly. "I wonder what play we will be doing."

They continued to talk about drama and how their summers went as they walked to each other's lockers and to each other's classes. Unfortunately, none of them had the same homeroom. As the first bell drew nearer, the girls said their temporary goodbyes before Emma went to class. She made sure to grab a seat in the very front of the class. It was her favourite place to be.

The teacher was at her desk quietly doing work when Emma had entered. Students slowly started walking in and just before the bell went Emma saw the last person she wanted to see.

That's right! It was Killian Jones. Now she would have to spend a whole semester with this doofus. Just great!

The bell went and the teacher started talking. "Ok class, my name is Ms. Nimue and I will be your English teacher for this semester. Today we are going to start with a writing exercise. Write as much as you can in the hour and it must be a short story. Your time starts now."

Emma's hand started to write immediately. Ideas flowed from her head to the paper. As for Killian on the other hand, things were not going so well. He only took English because it was mandatory. He just wanted the day to end so he could party with his buddies to celebrate senior year. Don't even get him started on what he thought about getting stuck in a class with the school's biggest geek. Emily? Jennifer? Jemma? He didn't care to know what her name was. But he couldn't help but wonder how she had already written so much. He stared at her for a while but he didn't notice that he was.
