When you're doing the "Love is in the Air" quest, and you want to get the outfits so you do the quest superfast.
I can just imagine their conversation when they get engaged:
Guy: Hey, I know we just met today, and we don't even know each other's names yet, but will you marry me?
Gal: Sure! I'd love to marry a guy who started flirting with me right after I met him a couple of hours ago. Just gimme the ring.

Guy: *Gives Eternity ring*
Gal: OH MY GOSH! You didn't have to... I love you the way you are. Love is priceless.
-If the game didn't give you the ring-
Guy: *Gives plastic ring*
Gal: Nu. WHO DA HELL GIVES A PLASTIC RING?! MY LOVE AND TIME WAS WORTH MORE THAN THIS. I'M OUT. *leaves house*
Guy: Welp, time for plan B. *Calls the second girl you have in the game*
Girl 2: You called me, babe?
