Rest of the day Singto worked in a daze, Krist at the back of his mind. Was Krist really back or was that his imagination? Did that mean he had seen him for real in that After party?
Krist should have known then that he would be there. Then why didn't he talk to him?
Then again, Krist hadn't said anything before leaving. He didn't say anything after leaving. He didn't say anything at all.
Singto reached his flat only at three in the morning. He shed his clothes off as soon as he walked inside, switching the lights on his way, comfortable to be only in his boxers. It was too hot anyway.
He made a beeline for the bedroom and plopped onto his bed. Sleep claimed him as soon as he hit the mattress. He was so damn tired.

Singto woke up sometime in the afternoon because his phone wouldn't stop ringing. Irritated, he rolled over and pressed the end button. He could listen to P'Jane later. He knew better than disturbing him on the only day he had off.

Singto woke up finally in the evening satisfied that he could manage through the next 48 hours with the sleep he had had. He clambered off his bed ignoring his phone. Singto went through the usual chores- first prepare his coffee, brush his teeth, shower, put on fresh clothes, put the soiled clothes for laundry.
Finally, he took out the leaflets stuffed in the nearby drawer and ordered takeouts. He was ravenous. He sauntered to the living room, fishing the remote from under the sofa and switching the television on. He flicked through the channels, bored out of his mind. He had a flight in another six hours. May be he should sleep again.
Singto slid on the seat, lying down in the posture now very familiar to him. He closed his eyes, leaving the television's soft buzz playing softly in the background.

As soon as Singto reached the airport and met his manager at the VIP Entry section, Jane said,
"Why didn't you call back?"
Singto pushed his trolley, flashing smiles at the fans gathered. "Why? Some scandal or what?" He scoffed.
"You didn't hear the news?"
Singto snorted. "Hear what, P'?"
Jane dropped the topic and they went emotionlessly through the process for the nth time.
It was only when they were seated and their plane took off that Jane brought the topic up again.
"This," P'Jane passed his phone to Singto to see, "this is what I was talking about." Singto took the electronic device curious to see what could have bothered him so much that he would have called Singto when he knew that the former would have been sleeping.
The headline was short and it caught his attention and shocked him too.
