She Lost Him

It had been almost six weeks since she lost him. It had only been six weeks but it felt like a lifetime. She never imagined a life without him. Her friend first, then her lover and then her husband. It was a perfect life. A life that never knew sorrow or grief or lonliness. A life she dreamed untill that sweet dream turned out to be a nightmare.

It was just another day that started with the first sight of him when she woke up. The whole day was spent the same as it did everyday, him going to his work and for her, working in the house and waiting for him to come back. he came back home two hours earlier than usual to surprise her and took her outside for a dinner like he did many times before. They went to a lake view resturant and ordered a trout fish.

After the dinner they went to ice cream parlor and ate a strawberry flavored ice cream with chocolate chips sprincled on top. On their way back they were talking about how delicious the fish was. They were soo busy talking that they didn't even saw a junction joining four roads, ahead, the signal was still green so he put his feet into the throttle, the car picked up speed. When they were almost 30 feet away from the signal, it turned to orange and then red they had no choice but to keep up the speed. When they were about 10 feet away from the signal suddenly they heard an horn honking and the next moment a truck was coming their way from the road on their left side.
