The bell finally rings. Jason is pretty nice. Well, at least for the 90 minutes I've been with him. He's very good at chemistry which makes me look dumb because chemistry is my worst subject.
We worked throughout the whole class and didn't talk about anything except the project. But we still didn't finish.
I start gathering my stuff. "Can we meet in the library after school?" I look back up. He's staring at me so seriously. Again. "To work on the project." He finishes.
"Sure, but I'll only be able to stay for a short time." I had promised to hang out with Mia after school.
"That's fine. Wasn't planning on staying long either." I look at him. He's trying to hide a smile.
"Was that supposed to be sarcastic?"
He laughs. "Only if you want it to be." He winks at me.
"I'll see you after school Kali."
He grabs his bag and leaves.
He's cute. So cute.
I'm just about to get up when the teacher calls me over. I start walking over to his desk.
"Are you understanding the new concept alright?"
"Yes. I find it pretty easy", I lie.
"Is Jason giving you any problems", he says quickly catching me off guard.
"No, why?" Was I acting weird?
"Jason doesn't exactly have the greatest reputation." He looks at me seriously. "He's always getting into trouble, getting in fights."
Jason had been pretty nice to me. I wouldn't peg him as that type of guy.
"Well, he was pretty nice to me." I reassure my teacher. "Ok, tell me if anything happens." He still looks worried.
I start walking out of his class. I tried not to think about what the teacher had just told me. Yet.
I get through 2 other classes. Nothing had happened. I pretty much sat in the back by myself. Got a few stares when I walked in. Other than that no one really payed any attention to me, which I was totally fine with.
I start walking to the cafeteria. Mia had told me to find her.
I finally find it. Of course there's so many people there.
I walk in trying to find Mia. I spot Jason sitting at a table with two guys and a bunch of girls.
They are all staring at him like lovesick puppies.
"Kali." Mia snaps me out of my thoughts. I quickly turn back around.
"How were your classes?"
"Ok. I guess"
She laughs. "It'll get better, I promise. Let's go get our food."
Mia looks at me with her usual smile. She's always so happy.
I walk with her over to where the line is. We grab a tray and start going through the line. I grab a packaged salad and an apple. I feel someone touch me on my back.
