(A/N: Letting you know that the Archie and Veronica kiss never happened but it maybe will later on in the story 😏)
Betty's POV
Today has been a pretty eventful day and I'm not even talking about Jason Blossoms Mystery murder. Kevin & I were walking the hall until we bumped into the new girl Veronica. She seemed nice and not like the stories we heard. She said she was trying to change. But I didn't know "change" involved us trying out for cheerleading and a "kiss of friendship" which was what Veronica called it. But is it sad that I felt a little something. But all was pushed aside as soon as Cheryl opened her mouth and started talking about my sister Polly.
Later on, after the dance I had my heart broken by my best friend and secret crush. I made a fool of myself thinking that Archie actually liked me. You would have thought I would have just been upset the whole night until a particular brunette showed up at my doorstep.
Veronica POV
Betty opened the door with messed up makeup from crying but still look beautiful—Stop!! You can't be attracted to her she's straight."Hey you left the party early I wonder if you were okay but clearly you're not." Veronica said. I'm that moment Betty broke down into tears. Veronica move quickly inside to give her a hug "I'm here, you will always have a shoulder to cry on." Veronica closed the door and moved her and Betty over to the couch in the living room "Do you want me to sleep here for the night?" asked a concerned Veronica. Betty slight nodded into Veronica's neck. They stay on the couch silently for a few minutes until Betty looked up and spoke. " Thanks for being a good friend Ronnie." " You're most certainly welcome B." Veronica said as she met eyes with Betty.
In that moment time felt like it stopped. I stared into Betty's eyes then looked down at her perfect pink lips. She did the same. Before I knew it I leaned in, caressed her cheek. Our lips met and boy did it feel like heaven. The Kiss got slightly heated but was soon ended.
"ELISABETH COOPER WHAT ON GODS EARTH ARE YOU DOING" Mrs. Cooper yelled.
