I never said she stole my money
He sits there nervously as the officer asks him questions.
"I am officer Braden," the officer tells him quietly. "Your name is?"
"David. David Bleu is my name. Why am I here officer?" He has a furrowed brow as he wonders why he was called into the station.
"You're here to make a bad person go to jail. Now, it says here you were the sole eye witness. What can you tell me about what you saw?"
"I uh, well I was never there." David stammered quietly.
"Excuse me? But we have a recording of you saying 'Somebody, a woman, she stole my money! Can you help?' We were unsure about how to handle this. Now, with you saying, 'I wasn't there' it's much more complicated," Officer Braden complained.
David looked around, donned a pout, and said, "Nope, sorry Officer, I honestly have no idea what you're talking about. I was at home until the department called my phone asking me to come in for questioning." David paused for a moment and looked around. "I never said she stole my money. I'm sure somebody told you officers that, but I promise it was not me. That was the first time I've ever uttered that phrase in my life.
"Okay then. Mr. Bleu I believe you, you are free to go. Thank you for your time and I'm sorry we had you confused for someone else," Officer Braden offered an apology as David walked out of the door.
"It's all good," David replied as he bid a goodbye.----------------------------------------------
