I woke up to the sound of something shattering. A scream followed shortly after.  I threw my covers off me and turned to my alarm clock. It was one  in the morning. I walked into the kitchen trying to find the source of the loud noise. I saw my mom lying on the floor with broken glass next to her.
"Mom are you okay!?" I ran next to her and lifted her from the mess.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I was trying to get something to drink but I dropped it on the floor. I should of just grabbed the plastic cup."

"It's okay mom. You need to be more careful. It's really late at night. You should be sleeping."

"I know. I just had a really bad day at work. I can't sleep. A glass of milk always helps me after a long day."

I started cleaning up the glass. I reached into the cabinet and grabbed a cup. Then I poured a glass of milk.

"I'm sorry to hear that mom. Here drink this milk. Then you should go lie down. I'll clean up the rest of this mess."

"Are you sure? I can do it myself." She said.

"I got it mom. Go get some sleep."

"Okay. I love you. You try to get some sleep too."

Then she walked away, hopefully to her room, and into her bed.

When she left I found an open bottle of Hennessy in the fridge. I sighed at the sight of it.

I knew my mom was actually trying to get it instead of the milk.

After cleaning up her mess I went back to bed.

"Allison, Allison!" I kept hearing my name being screamed.

I was sweating bullets. I was absolutely terrified. "Leave me alone!" I yelled. "Go away!"

I used my hands to cover my face while I stayed balled up in a corner.

Then it grabbed my fingers.

"Look at me! I am your father."

A dark haired, blue eyed, 6'1 male, is what my eyes saw.

"Leave me alone! You don't love me dad! You left!"

"Allison I died in the war. I didn't want to leave you. I was doing my job. Why can't you understand?" He said.

Then he reached to hug me.

"No! Don't you dare! Those soldiers were more important to you than mom and I! So go. Leave me alone. Let me be. I hate you!"

"Allison. I'm your father. I love you. I always have. I always will. I miss you. Please just try to understand."

He kept reaching in to grab me in hopes that I'd let him.

But I just continued pulling away.

"No. Mom and I are just fine with the way things are. We don't need you. You don't love me. If you did, you would of been here. You chose to save their lives and miss mine. Leave me alone!" I screamed.

Tears ran down my face. So many emotions were happening within me.

Water begin falling from my dad's eyes. He looked like he was completely torn apart.

"Okay Ally. You'll always be my princess though." He said.

Then he left me to my tears and disappeared.

I woke up in cold sweats.  It was all a nightmare. i was crying so hard in terror.

I thought I had stopped having nightmares but I guess not. I sat on my bed and wiped my face until my tears disappeared.
