"Kiarra Goldengate?" I heard Professor Oak ask and I raised my hand without a word as the professor wrote my name down on a scroll.

"Very well, as I head you are Lunar Academy's newest student, may I ask?" He asked, but I didn't feel like replying, it's not easy being a new student in a academy of magics.

"Yes sir." That's all I said and all I was gonna say.

"Anyways, would you mind coming up here and telling about yourself to the class, your skills, your backstory, anything." He smiled, but I just shrugged and looked at my fingers as I twiddled them together, if I didn't want to reply to the first question, I definitely DO NOT wanna stand in front of everyone while words of no care spill from my mouth.

"I'll take that's as a no," He sighed, all his enthusiasm vanished.

I heard a couple of people snicker from the back of the room and whisper words of nonsense into each other ears, but I could really care less, what I had my eye on right now was a necklace I had on, I was fiddling with it, a necklace with sun charm, my mother gave it to me, as a gift on my birthday when I was seven.

I might have some idea as why she gave me the necklace, or why she gave the a bracelet with the same sun charm, and a ring with the sun charm as well, and not to mention a golden anklet... Yes, with the same exact sun charm.

As I was growing up as my sister died from some unknown disease and my three older brothers passed sadly in a battle, and my father just left us completely without a worry or a care, my mom always told me that I was her sunshine, her day, her night, her up, her down, everything to her.

"Ahem, Miss Goldengate, do have any idea what we're talking about?" Professor Oak asked firmly, shattering my thoughts and memories of the past.

"Uh, um, erm, I..." I started but trailed off as everyone's eyes traveled over me, I could feel their presence and attention stuck onto me like glue.

"Can someone tell Miss Doesn't-Pay-Attention what we're talking about?" Professor Oak asked and vcasted a glance across everyone in the classroom as his eyes slowly traveled over everyone, searching deep for an answer.

He looked gladly satisfied whenever two hands went up in the air.

"Ah, yes, Opal?" He grinned.

"We were just discussing about how to turn a firefly into a star!" She replied and casted a soft gentle glance on me, not in a 'Geez, I'm smarter than you!' Way, but in a 'I'm so sorry, here's the subject' Kind of pity way, and I appreciated that.

"Yes, correct Miss Elastia!" Professor Oaks side smiled and than, I think he just rambled on again, more about the subject, I mean when will I ever need to turn a firefly into a star? Never, I don't think so.

As he roamed and roamed on about more transformation potions, spells, and magics, I felt lost in my own land, yep wondering off again, but this time, I didn't get in trouble, surprising, Professor Oak seemed really into the making of a shadow potion, he kept on commenting about how he knew most of the potion recipes by heart and that he grew up using some of these spells and magic tricks in daily life.

And looks like I wasn't the only one dazing off into space, I glanced across the room to see a girl with perfectly light blond hair and bright icy pale blue eyes, she had pale-ish but healthy looking skin and her hair was slightly curly with streaks of gold in it, it seemed as if she was splashed with imagination juice, and was now staring off into a window across the room, her icy blue eyes seemed to be staring intensely at something, hmm, strange.

But, I could also care less about that, but, I did plan on kind of meeting the girl after class in my head, I knew exactly what to ask her.
