Chosen

A/N I'm writing during my lunch period but I'll post later and I figured out how to bold words while writing on my phone and I'm proud about that. I would like to note that I will try my hardest to keep this as close to the hunger games story line as possible except for a few changes example: Jay & Cole have siblings. But the ninja will still be friends at some point and Kai & Nya are still bro & sis. BTW Zane is 100% human in this story. Now onto the story!

Jay POV
This is it. My last year qualifying to be a tribute for the Ninjago games. But sadly this is my younger brothers first and he's so nervous. He's so nervous that he is hiding but he doesn't know that they come after whoever doesn't show up.
"James come on we have to get ready" I call.
"But I don't wanna" A small voice calls.
"Come on bro I swear you won't be called. It's a one in a million chance."
"Really"
"Yes now will you please come out cause if you don't soon they will and get you"
"Okay" I hear footsteps come running towards the cellar door. The door opens and James appears with his orangey-brownish hair buzz cut to show off his Ocean blue eyes.
"Come let go get changed into our good clothes." I say
We go to our room and wash off quickly and change into a white plain shirt and royal blue pants.
We walk to the main stage area and sign in. We head towards each of our age groups I go and stand beside my friends Cole and Lloyd.
"Hey man" Lloyd say flipping his dirty blonde locks out of his face.
"Sup" I reply.
"You excited?" I asked
"Not really just hoping I'm not chosen. Ya know what I'm saying."
"Yeah it's our last year so we just hope that we're not chosen."
Beeep we hear the screching noice of Effie tapping the microphone.
"Hello. And welcom to the 76th annual Ninjago Games and May the odds be ever in your favour. Now Ladies first." Effie says while walking towards the glass ball on the ladies side of the stage.
"Nya Beliens" She anounces. We see the crowd part we see a girl with enbony pixie cut hair and chocolate brown eyes she was wearing a white knee lenght dress with a red shash. I reliese that I used to go to school with her. I was in love with her and still am. Nya walks and stand on the stage with an emotionless expression on her face. Effie walk to the boys side of the stage and pulls out a name.
"Her partner...James Walker." What I see the crowd part and James walks towards the stage but before he can I run forward and Yell
"I volunteer as tribute!"
I rush to James and give him a hug and whisper in his ear "No matter what happens you have to remain strong. You have to live your life the way you want not how mom and dad or anyone say you should." And with that I went to the stage. I get there and the strong smell on Chanel number five fills my nostrils.
"Whats your name?" Effie asks while positioning the microphone by my lips.
"Jay. Jay Walker." I reply.
"I bet my stars that was your brother." She says.
"Yes"
"Okay. On to the second team. Lets start with the guys first." She says calmly.
"Flynn Jones" I don't even pay attention to the other tributes all I'm thinking about is two things; What have I done and secondly How am I going to win with or god forbid without.
"Jade Bailey"
Thats the last thing I hear before we are shoved towards our partners to shake hands. But none of us do.
