It was 7th period, mathematics, one of my favorite classes. I'm no nerd, but I do enjoy most of my classes. I have one more period until school is done and it's finally my weekend to celebrate. Today was nice, a couple of the kids here wished me a happy birthday, and gave me a couple cards. More then I had expected to get anyway. I was getting lost in my thoughts, hoping that I shift today and find my mate this weekend, when the sound of the bell pulled me out of my thoughts. Off to my last period I go, which is study hall, I like it though because I get all my homework done and usually never have anything to take home.
"Monica?" whispered Brittney from the other side of the lunch room. I looked up and she was waving me over to follow her. I shook my head no and motioned to my homework, I wanted to finish it all so I wouldn't have to worry about it this weekend. But she threw a paper at me and it hit me right in my left eye making it water and turn a veiny pink redish color. "Miss Monica, is everything alright with your eye? It's a bit red. Would you like to be excused to go have a look?" asked Mister Tomson. "I must have gotten something in it, I'll go to the nurses office and see what she says thank you." I answered quickly while I gathered all my things and ran out of there to the hall way where Brittney was waiting.
"Oh my gosh, Brittney, you really suck!" I laughed as I rushed to her and lightly punched her shoulder. "What is so important women, that you couldn't let me finish my work?" I asked while I rubbed my slightly sore eye. "Shh, it's a surprise!" she whispered to me as she tugged my arm and led to the so called surprise. These two were my best friends but they were not very good at surprises. Haha. There was always something that would go wrong or someone would forget something. But they were moments that I cherish.
Jackie popped up from around the corner with a piece of cloth in her hands, they spun me around and put the cloth on my eyes and made sure that I couldn't see anything. "I'm so excited! She is going to freak!" chimed Jackie. "Shh, she's only blind folded, she can still hear us." scolded Brittney. "Right, sorry." apologized Jackie, I could tell she was smiling. We finally got to the car, man these girls almost ran me into so many things, I'm surprised I made it unharmed. They put me in the car and I could hear some muffled voices outside of the car. And finally they got in the car and we got on our way.
The whole ride I just couldn't stop thinking that today might be the day I meet my mate. I started to get that nervous butterfly feeling that you get at the pit of your stomach. Man oh Man, it hasn't even happened yet and I'm already freaking out about it. I need to chill out. A small jerk pulled me out of my thoughts, letting me know we have arrived at our mystery location. I heard a small squeal and a little clap, and then the two front doors open up. They came and let me out and fluffed up my hair and fixed my dress, added some lipstick and led me to our destination. I heard a lot of shuffling and rustling. Then my eyes were blinded with the bright lights, and all these beautiful colors, and then a huge loud, "SURPRISE!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" I had to take a jump back, I was so shocked. It was most of our pack, and two other packs as well. I could not believe that they were all here to celebrate me. I could not believe my two best friends arranged this with out me knowing! They were so sneeky. "Oh my, thank you so much everyone for coming and a big thank you to my two best friends, Jackie and Brittney! I never imagined this by any means was going to be the surprise. Again thank you and lets have some fun!!!" I yelled in to the mic that the DJ had brought for me. I turned and hugged my amazing girls, "How? When? Why? There are so many things I want to say but, all I can manage out is thank you. You two are amazing! I love you girls sooooo much." I said while pulling them in for another hug. "Let's partyyy!" we all three yelled and started dancing.
