All day every day your life is black and white. There is some differentiation between whites, grays and blacks. But you can't tell what the original colour is.

"Lilly. Lilly your later !!!!" I heard my mum shout through my dream state,

"But mum !!! Do I have to go to school ?? I mean, come on first days are always the worst" I complain as I roll out of bed. You see today is my first day in year 11.

Last year my mum and dad got a divorce because my dad said he found the love of his life. He said " Lilly when you meet the love of your life its like the world explodes and you finally know what colour is, but please don't tell your mother" He said this to me 2 years before the divorce. When all the paper work had been completed me and my mum moved from Dublin to Derbyshire ( It reminds mum of home).

"Lilly now your just being silly. Come on and get ready." My mum says as she walks out my room.

As I rolled out of bed I thanked God that I'd got everything ready last night. I'm not the most organised of people. Back home my Nana always got everything ready for me.

Today I'm white and gray because I want to make a good impression. In Dublin I always wore black because it hid the blood and mud. I look over at the clock and realize its 8am and school starts to 8:30. Great I'm going to be late on my first day.
