It was a drab day at work, progress was slow, and Waltr's interest at his given task was next to nothing. He sat at his desk tapping a pen against the keyboard, watching the clock to see when work ended. On the bright computer screen showed charts and data that normally would entice a mathematics brain like Waltr's but today did little. Outside a faint tapping of rain echoed back his pen. The weather was nice, soothing even, despite being stormy and grey. Waltr couldn't help himself as he leaned over to glance at the window and peek out at the muted landscape of a rainy LA. He sighed and smiled gently, closing his eyes and imagining the sensation of the cool rain. Returning back to reality, he scrambled to complete the rest of his work before having to clock out in fifteen minutes.

"Are you done with the calculations for tomorrow's experiment?" His boss asked, peeking in through the door a few moments later. His tall, lanky, and orange self hidden mostly behind the doorframe.

"Yeahuh, should I print them now or tomorrow?" Waltr asked just as his boos started leaning away.

"Tomorrow sounds good, don't want you having to take it home and possibly soaking it." His boss muttered, walking out. Waltr scoffed, rude, and called out,
"Have a nice night!"
He glanced back at the clock and smiled seeing it was time to leave. After packing up and walking out, he realised he forgot to pack his umbrella or even a jacket this morning before he left for work. He cursed and ran to the bus stop, lifting his hands over his purple hair to keep dry. When he made it to the stop he was completely out of breath. Through the foggy exhaustion of his head he saw that the stop did not have a little cover over the benches.

"Aw dammit, now i'm just supposed to let myself soak?!" He yelled at the benches, not noticing the man next to him.

"Yo, if you want man we can split my umbrella, it's aight." Said a voice behind him. Waltr turned to see a tall and tan man, possibly about his age. His pastel hair was done up in a messy bun and his lower two eyes were closed in a relaxed expression. His upper eyes though, glanced down at the short Waltr with a curious pink.

"Oh, uh, thank you-"

"Canni, I go by Canni." The man said, smiling, reaching out his umbrella towards Waltr.

"-Canni. I'm Waltr." He said back, stepping under the umbrella. For a bit the stood under the umbrella in quiet, listening to the rain around them and watching the LA streets about them. The bus pulled up and opened the door with a hiss, and Waltr stepped in. Unexpectedly, so did Canni. And where Waltr sat, next to the window, Canni took the seat right next to.
The bus took off and they were quiet for a little longer, Waltr resting his head against the window and peering out as they drove past people and cars.

"Hey, uhm, Waltr is it?" Canni asked, glancing over at the short latino.

"Yeah, what?" Waltr muttered, slightly drowsy.

"If you're interested, would you like to meet up, say...8? maybe grab some food?" Canni asked, casually almost.

"...sure." Waltr said, trying to hide the soft flush appearing in his cheeks and scrunching his shoulders up.

"Yes! Sweet!" Canni grabbed Waltr and pulled him close in an awkward half hug. He smelled of black liquorice and pine to Waltr, as he awkwardly decided to rest his head on Canni's shoulder.

"This is nice." He said, a little stifly after a few moments, face flush, as Canni laughed.

"It is, to bad it has to end." he responded, as the bus slid to a halt and Canni stood, stepping out of his seat.

"Until 8." Canni winked, or blinked, maybe blinked?? who knows he has five eyes so god knows how that works, and finger-gunned Waltr as he walked off, leaving the shy purple haired boy to sit on the bus and wait for 8 that night.
