“…Ben? Nice name. Not a huge fan of it but…I’ve had an ex with that name.” I thought back to year 6 when I was with my ex. He was quite frigid, actually, he never kissed me, but I don’t think I want to kiss him anyway; he had brown hair and sort of buck teeth, a mono-brow and murky brown eyes. Not my type now but I liked him then.

“You did?” he smirked a little, before walking slowly over to me. That’s when I fully noticed his height. He was right in front of me; he must have been at least 4ft! It made me inwardly giggle actually. I knew I couldn’t giggle there because I’m at risk of being sliced to death. Anyway, I just shrugged and turned around. “We don’t talk much now.”

“no?”

“Nope.”

Ben just nodded slowly, staying where he was. I turned around looking a little confused.

“Why are you still here? Do murderers like you normally stay around and take ages to murder there victims?”

Ben shrugged “only if I don’t want to kill them.”

I stared at him confused “and how often does that happen?”

“not a lot. Actually, this may be the first time.” He responded, smirking. Of course.

“So…how long are you planning to stay here? I’m tired and want to sleep, thanks.”

Ben shrugged again, walking past me and going downstairs. “Whenever you want?”

“Well how about now?”

“But-“

“now!”

Ben moaned, making me think he didn’t want to go just yet. But what confuses me is why. I mean, my house isn’t that great…

“Please leave?” I tried to use a puppy dog face to see if that would work. Luckily, it did. Wow, this guy is easy to read! Well…sort of.

“Fine. I’ll leave.” Ben rolled his eyes and walked downstairs and out the door.

Once he walked out the door I sighed heavily. What was he doing in my house, why did he try to kill me, and why did he stay?! So many questions were left unanswered and part of me really did not want to ask any of them…

I walked upstairs, and jumped into my bed. It wasn’t long before I had fallen into a deep sleep, and my bad dreams began to start up on me again.

There she was again, my mother, Drenched in blood, all different organs scattering her and hanging from her body…only this time was different. I could see more of the picture, I could see a tall faceless man, and holding hands with a little girl…the tall man wore a suit and the little girl, a pink dress. The tall man looked like a character of a game I’ve played…what was it? Slender man? Tentacles appeared from the man, lifting my mother up in the air and he opened where his face would be but and he moved her body closer and—

I woke up screaming and looked around. I tried to think about the dream and what was happening when I hurt a voice as well as two red eyes staring at me.

“Did you have a bad dream?” the person said in a familiar voice.

“…Ben?” I knew exactly who that voice belonged to. I mean, who wouldn’t know that voice? It was high pitched and elfish, but had a demonic quality to it. Ben walked closer so I the light of the moon showed his face.

“The one and only~” he smirked, crossing his arms.

“What do you want? I told you to get out of my house.” I rubbed my eyes tiredly and tilted my head, watching him as he swiftly walked around my bedroom, looking at everything in it. “oh, but I quite like it here. Its small, cosy, warm, dry… I’d be a fool to walk away from here.

I rolled my eyes, and crossed my arms. “you can get all that at your own house.”

Ben’s face fell, causing me to stare at him confused, then I whispered, “you don’t have your own house…do you?”

Ben went back to his usual crooked smile and laughed lightly, but I could see the sadness in his eyes “nah! I have my own house! It’s…great…”

I felt a little bad, but I couldn’t let him stay here! I only have one bedroom! The rest of the rooms are full of old things that my parents left behind when they died. “I’m sorry ben…but you can’t stay here…I-”

“Oh it’s fine! I promise! I’ll go back to the forest…make myself a comfy little rock to sleep on…” he shouted quite overdramatically, walking to the door and looking back with a puppy dog face. Unfortunately, I gave in.

“Fine! You can stay for a few days, But only a few days!” I sighed inwardly as he punched the air and jumped onto my bed. Great, I just let a killer stay with me…let’s see how this goes huh.
