Hey, my name is Stephanie Summerlin, but you can call me Steph. I'm an official coral girl, which is really exciting! I have my own channel, plus now everything is going back to normal, slowly but surely.

I groaned as I realized it was Monday morning. Which means gymnastics, school, and then doing chores, and then homework, and then making a video, and then... you get the point. I grabbed my Monday leotard from the closet, brushed my teeth and hair, and changed. I tried a new hairstyle today, a twisty ponytail. I can't really explain it. Anyway, I ran downstairs, trying not to trip, and went into the kitchen to see my mom, dad, and Sammy, my little sister, all eating breakfast. My mom and dad were watching the News, and my sister was playing with her cereal. "G' morning!" Dad cheerfully said. "Morning, dad!" I smiled back. "Oh, I see how it is," my mom joked, handing me my chocolate chip waffles, that I requested last night. "Good morning, mom," I laughed.

"Steph!" Annie ran towards me, almost knocking me over. "Hey," I laughed. "I have news!" She squealed. Annie almost never squeals... it has to be something exciting. "You, Mia, and I are going to the Grand Canyon in a helicopter after the Brestyan's Invitational!" Annie told me, jumping up and down. "Oh my gosh, really?" I asked, shocked. Annie nodded. I never been to the Grand Canyon, but I've seen pictures. It's really huge! I can't wait to see it in person!

"Today, we'll be preparing for our upcoming meet that most of you are going to, which is the Brestyan's Invitational. And for those of you not going to that meet, you'll be preparing for the Hills Maryland Classic with Coach Kim. Now, the gymnasts going to the Brestyan's Invitational, stay with me to practice beam and bars," Coach Mary announced. There was a huge groan throughout the gymnasts, especially me. I hate beam and bars! She's going to make me practice my pak salto all day now. That means that the other group is practicing vault and floor. Lucky them.
---
We grabbed our grips and chalked our hands. We were split in four: Me, Mia, Annie, and Amanda. The other group on bars: Syd, Hailey, Chelsea, and Jaiden. We worked handstand holds, hand switches on bars, and pike handstands on the floor. (Video shown above)

Next, we did our routines. Kip, cast handstands, form, technique, and more. We continued to do this, and then we did our level 8 bar routine. After that, we worked overshoots, while I did my pak salto. "Your pak is getting better, Steph," Coach Mary complimented. I smiled at her, and added more chalk to my hands. "Hey," Mia came up next to me. "Coach Mary suggested that I try a pak salto. Do you think I'm ready for it?" She asked. I always watch Mia's bar routines, I think that her overshoot is really good. "Yeah, you're ready! Your overshoots are like, perfect. So, maybe an upgrade?" I smiled. "Thanks!" Mia smiled back, and ran over to Coach Mary to tell her yes. Annie and Amanda's overshoots are really good too, but they still need their form. We continued to work bars for another thirty minutes, and then we headed to the lunch room for break. I grabbed my water bottle and towel, and sat next to Arden, Via, Mia, Annie, Amanda, and Kenzie. "So, how's life?" I asked them. "Great!" Kenzie piped up. "Really good," Arden and Via said. "It's good," Amanda, Mia, and Annie said. "That's nice. My life is busy," I rolled my eyes, which made them laugh. We got into a conversation about the meet, and then qualifiers. "Via is gonna qualify for bars, since she's the bars queen," I chuckled. She laughed, and we all agreed.
---
"Woo hoo, beam time," I sighed. We warmed up, doing walking handstands, back and front walk overs, back and front handsprings, and back tucks. Then we went on the low beam and practiced our back handsprings. Then, we got onto the beam and did our mounts. Mount, series, switch leaps, back tuck connection, and then our dismount.

Time to perform our level 9 routine! I got up second, after Mia, because she was nice enough to go first for me. I did my mount, did some dances, and then my series. I took a deep breath and did my back handspring back layout step out, trying to not bend my knees or flex my feet. Boom, landed it! I heard everyone cheering, and then I continued. My switch leap, back tuck, split jump. I heard some clapping when I landed my back tuck without moving, which is a huge accomplishment. I finished off with my dismount, which wasn't bad at all. Coach Mary gave me a side hug, and telling me that my series is so much better, that I had straight legs and everything. Yes! I did it! I did a little weird victory dance, which lead to an eruption of laughter. I fell on the floor laughing really hard, that I had to get Annie and Mia to help me up. 😂😂

I got back home from practice and school, and decided to go on a bike ride because, why not. I got my bike from out of the garage, and then slowly went down the street. I never really looked at the houses, some with tree houses. I rounded the corner, and saw a moving truck. I guess someone is moving here. I went slower, and took a better look at the daughter's (I'm guessing) face. I gasped as I realized who it was. Tears were starting to sting my eyes and I turned around and sped back to my house. I guess someone is moving back here.
