Stolen Innocence

Part 2 - school

Getting off the bus I slowly make my way down from the bus stop. I was still obviously aching from this morning and I was already late so I figured I wouldn't need to rush myself anyway.

It was half 9, meaning period 2 was going to start In 5 minutes. Pulling on the baggy jumper I threw on this morning I weave my ear phones through and tuck them under my scarf into my ears. Blasting the music since nobody was around, I limped through the school gates and to the side door, scanning my pass allowing the door to open... here we go.

Reaching the 6th form social area I begin signing myself in, date, time, reason why I am late? *well My alarm didn't ring so I was thrown down some stairs how about you?* I thought chuckling even though it wasn't funny.

Actually deep down, it was quite sad really. Holding back the tears I see my best friend Tanner walking towards me. Wiping my eyes I plaster a smile on my face begging for time to go faster.

" hi babe, where've you been" tanner says while smiling at me. Gosh I wish I could tell you.

"I woke up late sorry, how was your study period?" I chuckle because I knew he would have had to sit alone. Which was good in a way since then he would have no distractions to mess around. He was quite a fidgeter was tanner he can never sit still

"Yeah funny" he pulls a face nodding his head violently making me break into fits of laughter. This is why I came to school. My best friend even though he didn't know what went on behind closed door always knew how to keep me happy and smiling.

"Anyway walk up to the shops with me at 4th period I wanna get some lunch, and what lesson do you have now?" He says raising his eyebrows

"Alright and erm I have business what about you?" I ask

"I've got a study, come sign me in and then I'm coming into your lesson" he says

"Alright" and with that we begin strolling around the school to the 6th form study room

Lunch
"Let me have some of your drink" Tanner says making puppy eyes

"You've got your own bottle of water! Don't waste mine" I grin laughing at his sad expression

"It isn't the same!" He laughs walking into the social area sitting down at our usual spot

As we go to sit down we get our usual glares from the girls. Now let me say some of these girls are pretty and some are like average but they are all horrible.

If they aren't bitching about others they bitch about their own group. I smile at Gabi earning a smile back. I think she was the only one I liked, oh and porsha.

Gabi is Tanners girlfriend. It's quite odd really. Even though they are in a relationship, they don't talk much in school. It's like he's distanced himself from her.

But this is where it gets complicated. She doesn't have a problem with me and Tanner being friends, but her friends do. It's like they are forcing her to have a problem and if she doesn't say anything they interfere.

Last week they tried to start an arguement...

Me and Tanner had walked in from walking up to the shops

"So are you and Tanner dating now?" Says kace earring laugh from all the girls he was surrounded by. God I hated this guy.

"No" we both said in unison looking at eachother confused.

It's funny because you'd think we would both go all red and get embarrassing but not us. We aren't really phased by it. I guess we are used to it.
