Rachel had been at work for several hours on end, and she had recently taken over for her co-worker; Ashly. Which was just eight more hours; To her it really was'nt much after all, she owed her one. Ashly did take over when she had to she had to go to her friends wedding as maid of honor.
Rachel and Ashly had worked at window's costomer service for about 10 years. Day in and day out people would call about viruses on their computers. They'd often say it was because of an ad for a, 'super weight loss program!' Which Rachel believed to be complete and utter non-sense; not even with a group of doctrines and college professors no one could loose over 50 pounds per week.
Eventually, her shift began to end; everyone had left by then and the secretary had asked if she could close up for her so Rachel stayed an hour later. By the time she was leaving; it was 3:05 am; and she was still in the office shutting the computers and appliances off.
She walked out of the office; into the dark empty hall way. She could hear a faint rustling noise in the break room.Thinking it might just be a paper jam some one just left in the printer. She walked into the room to see a creature beyond all of her understanding. It was a boney creature with black skin that was glazed over with a clear mucus like slime; which this creature seemed to be rummaging through the fridge. She stepped into the hallway trying not to make a sound though at the worst moment possible she had dropped her work bag resulting in her smart phone shattering on the floor; at this her heart dropped. She was sure to be dead; she heared the creature screach as if it was to sound it's battle cry. She darted for the office with all the power she could exceed from her body the monster was now on her tail.
She opened the office door slamming it behind her as she ran for the phone. She dialed 911 as fast as she could; she haistily held the phone to her ear listening intently to the ringing between the monster banging on the office door , all of this leading her to an automated voice saying that the phone had been disconected. Tears escaped her eyes as the creature began scratching and clawing at the door the screaches getting louder and more agrevated. Sooner than later the door broke down, and all poor Rachel could think was how horrible it was that we depend on technology even to just save our lives.
