First day of high school is never easy even as a junior. It could be a breeze or could be a living hell. All I have to do is make it through today and every thing will be okay. Let's go through the mental check list- 1. Lunch, check 2. Book bag, check 3. Cute clothes, somewhat check. My mom buys all of my clothes because she thinks she has "super great taste" her words not mine. Just gotta walk through the front door and go to the first class, I can do this. I will make it through-

BAM

"Owwww, what the heck-" I slowly open my eyes and realize the hard thing I hit was a chest. A cute boys chest to be exact.

"Oh, sorry. Are you okay?" His voice was even cute. This is not part of my plan.

"Uh, yeah, I uh think I'll live.."

He unleashed me from his arms, I hadn't even realized they were around me.

"Thanks for not letting me hit the floor and die"

"Wouldn't want that to happen" With a wink with his words he strutted away going into the room right beside us. I hadn't even got his name. That doesn't matter. I need to continue on to the first class. Now which way is it? This place is so big it is sectioned off for each year. I never came down this way so I'm so lost.

"Are you lost?" I knew that voice anywhere..

"Abby!" Abby was my bestest friend in the whole world.

"Oh my gosh come here and hug me!"

"Casandra don't touch me"

"Oh but you love it!" I said as I pinched her cheeks and she punched my arm.

"Okay do you know the way to Mr. uh what's his name, Mr. Ellis?"

"Hahaha! Oh my gosh Casandra literally turn around."

And of course Mr. Ellis's room was right there. Literally the same door the cute guy went into. He looked like a senior though. Why would we be in the same class?

"This doesn't make sense. What class are you in?"

"The same one dumb dumb, let's go."

Walking in and the room was full. And of course, the only two seats left were right in the front.

"Hello class, my name is Mr. Ellis. This is my first year here so I hope it's great." No way. Holy shit. Mr. Ellis is the cute guy with the hard chest?

"Shit"

Shit. Did I just say shit out loud?

Laughter erupts behind me.

"Uh, Miss. Drake, what did you say?"

"Oh uh, shoot?"

More laughter took over the class.

"Hey calm down kids, Miss. Drake I'll need to see you after class."

"Ohhhhhhhhh..." said the whole class. I sunk into my seat embarrassed. How did I get in trouble on the first day? I've never been in trouble.

There are many things that could have went wrong today. Getting in trouble by the hot teacher was definitely not on the list.

At the end of class I sat in my seat as everyone got up to go to the next class, Abby patted my shoulder as she walked out and whispered good luck. I am going to need it.

"Miss. Drake, that was some foul language you used in my class room. I wasn't expecting anyone to get in trouble on the first day."

"I didn't mean to say shi- I mean shoot. It just kinda slipped.."

"Hey shit happens." Did he just say that?

"Did you just say that?"

"What? Shoot?" With another wink. What the heck?

"Oh my gosh, did you make me stay here just to make fun of me?"

"Miss. Drake, that sass is going to earn you a detention."

"A detention?! I've never had one of those in my life!"

"Well you should have thought of that before bringing shit into my classroom."

"I told you I didn't mean to say it, it just kinda slipped..."

And of course, as I got up he winked at me. I grabbed my stuff angrily and stormed out of the room. How in the hell am I supposed to explain this to my mom? Not to mention my dad...

The rest of the day went on in a blur. I made it to each class without running into anyone. Mr. Elllis had lunch duty and kept smirking at me every time he looked my way. What a butt head. My mom is going to kill me for getting a detention. At least I have that whole time to think of what to say.

"Abby do you know where detention is?"

"I'm pretty sure the rule is that which ever teacher gave you the detention is the one that serves it."

"You have got to be shitting me."

"Have fun buddy.."

The joy. I have to walk home because of Mr. Ellis. I'm going to get grounded because of Mr. Ellis. My high school days are going to suck because of Mr. Ellis.
