"Are you insane like me?
Been in pain like me?
Bought a hundred dollar bottle of champagne like me?
Just to pour that motherfucker down the drain like me?
Would you use your water bill to dry the stain like me?"

Lilibeth Archea. The definition of purity. Or so you would think. To the normal eye she's just a normal sweet shy girl. But when alone, she's the definition of insanity. Battling with demons, murder, halucinations, and holding herself together with self torture. Lilibeth applied at the GC?D to try and escape her darkness. After all, it's the police. The Justice bringers of the city. What could go wrong?

Ok Lily it's ok. It's just your first day at work. No big deal. Lilibeth ran through the list of everything that could go wrong at her first day of work. Many things in fact, she regretted applying extremely. But there was no turning back now. She didn't own a car so she had to walk. It was an hour walk to the GCPD she she had to start early. Lilibeth regretted wearing heels because her feet were gonna be so sore by the time she got there. She looked around her at Gotham as she walked. The city was ridden with psychos, hobos, and drug dealers. There was hardly ever sunlight in the city, always gloom. But she liked it. What would a city be without its secrets? And hour later Lilibeth made it to the GCPD, her feet practically broken from waking that far in heels. She climbed the stairs in agony and entered the building. The moment she stepped inside she felt overwhelmed. There were buff, scary looking police everywhere. All bustling about with something to do. She had applied for the forensics unit because she couldn't handle being in the field. She liked being able to watch from the shadows. When she got the job she was told that her boss was someone named Edward Nygma. Sounded like a respectable name to her. She walked up to a police officer wearing a fedora and had a beard and flask.
"Excuse me? I'm looking for Edward Nygma, do you know where he is?" She asked.
"Uh yeah. He's ok his office, the forensics room. 3rd door to the left down that hallway." The officer said.
"Thank you." Lilibeth replied quietly. She quickly walked towards the forensics room, but she wasn't paying much attention and ran into an officer.
"Hey! Watch where you're going freak!" He said. Lilibeth shrunk back slightly at his outburst.
"I-I'm s-sorry." She said and quickly walked away. She hoped the rest of her time here wouldn't be like that. Lilibeth found the forensics office. Ok Lily, you can do this. She took a deep breath and entered the office. Inside she saw a shit ton of file cabinets and two desks. There was a man with brown hair and glasses at one of the desks.
"Um, excuse me?" Lilibeth asked shyly.  The man looked up from his desk and Lilibeth was awestruck. He had gorgeous brown eyes and a perfectly proportioned face.
"Can I help you?" He asked in his soft yet commanding voice.
"U-Um, m-my name i-is Lilibeth. I-I'm the n-new forensics e-employee. I-I'm looking for M-Mr. Nygma, d-do you k-know where h-he is?" Lilibeth stuttered out. God sometimes she really hated being shy.
"That would be me ma'am. Looks like I'm your new boss" he said. He held his hand out to her, "but call me Ed". Lilibeth shook his hand.
"N-Nice to m-meet you Ed." Lilibeth said. She probably sounded like a freak right now.
"No need to be nervous Miss Lilibeth. So this is the forensics office. That's my desk and that's your desk. I moved them close together so that you could ask any questions if you had any." He said. Lilibeth nodded. It was going to be so hard working next to her new boss, Ed. She never felt this way before, but he sure was distracting.
"I must warn you, I'm a bit of an odd one." Ed said.
"I c-could be considered as t-that as w-well." Lilibeth said. She mentally shot herself for being such a screw up. Ed smiled.
"Well, I have to continue working on a case for Detective Gordon, but you can get yourself settled if you like." He said. Ed went back to his desk and started working away. Lilibeth sat at her own desk and unpacked her little amount of stuff. She out her notepad and pencils on her desk along with her books about plants, animal bites and claw marks, and poisons. She had her bottle of anxiety meds that she secretly put in the drawer. She didn't want Ed to know about just how much of a freak she really was. She out her Swiss Army knife in the drawer as well. She also didn't want him knowing about her self torture habits. While she was organizing her desk she couldn't help but watch Ed work. The way his brow furrowed when he was thinking. Those brown eyes focusing so hard on everything and when they brightened when he got an idea. His lips that moved into a stern frown when he couldn't figure something out. They were probably good at other things. Is it hit it in here? Lilibeth thought. She removed her glasses and rubbed her head trying to recede the headache that would cause a panic attack. She could tell that Ed knew something was wrong because he looked over at her confused. Luckily just then some coo burst through the door.
"Nygma, Detective Gordon had called a mandatory meeting." He said.
"Of course. We'll be out in a jiff." He said and smiled. The cop left. Lilibeth quickly followed before Ed could ask about her anxiety. She thought that being in a bigger room with more people would calm her down. Boy was she wrong. The amount of people around her was overwhelming. She could hear every word of every conversation and it escalated her panic attack. There was a cop at the top of the stairs talking about something, she assumed it was Detective Gordon, because the cop had said that was who called the meeting. She knew she should be focusing on what he was saying, but all she could focus on was not passing out until she made it back to her and Ed's office. Finally she saw the cops dispersing. She bolted back to her office she heard Ed running and calling after her. She made it back into the office and propped against her desk breathing heavily, panic settling in. Ed stood in front of her and held her shoulders. He was saying something, but she couldn't tell what. She couldn't hear anything. All she could feel was the blackness closing in on her. Then she fell to the floor and blacked out.
