"I love you.......don't forget that"
"She's waking up".
My eyes flutter open and I see her, a woman, dressed in blue, looking down at me with intense eyes. She had dark brown hair, light brown eyes, and pale skin.
Then she spoke "How are you feeling, Sage."
Sage..... was that my name? It felt so unfamiliar..... so wrong.
I tried to remember but just couldn't... but I didn't say anything to her. I didn't trust her. There was something about her that made my heart and mind tell me to stay away.
"My head, everything is spinning." I said with all the energy I could gather. I tried to sit up but my head felt like it was carrying the whole world.
"Stay lying down," the woman said, holding me down. "You'll be fine."
"Who are you?"
"I'm your doctor, Dr. Livingston." she said as she wrote something on a piece of paper. "The police found you......in the middle of the road. How did you end up there?"
"I don't know."
"Strange." It was all she said before she left.
I looked around and saw that I was in a small white and blue room. I should have felt safe in such a small room but couldn't help feeling like the walls were my enemies.
In front of me was a window big and wide but covered, not letting anybody look in or out. I was connected to all these machines that were showing different numbers and words that looked to complicated to understand.
In that moment I just wanted to break everything and run.... run away, but I felt like I was chained to the bed.
Next to me was a white stool (such a boring color) and next to it was a small table with a vase of white Jasmine flowers.
I was trying my best to get up out of my bed when I noticed a painting on the left wall. A beautiful one, with a girl sitting on a rock facing the ocean, admiring the way the waves hit the shore and washed away all its scars.
For a moment I wished I was that girl........ away from all the problems....... safe and sound.
Right next to the painting was a door that was hints of red, purple and dark blue. As I was admiring the colors on the door someone in a police uniform walked in.
He had light brown eyes, dark hair, and dark skin.
He was tall and handsome..... but also unsettling.
When he spoke his voice was soft and comforting, "Hello Ms. Sage, how do you feel?"
"Okay, I guess." I replied.
"Good, I am officer Harris and I just have a few questions for you, do you think you can answer them for me?"
I didn't know what to tell him. My mind had been wiped clean of any memory. It was like I didn't have anything to remember, just a big pit of nothing.
"I'm sorry....... I can't" I told him, a little afraid.
"Why not?"
"I can't remember."I say,
Officer Harris look at me and asked "Can you remember anything, anything at all?"
"No." I replied as my eyes got all teary.
"Huh", it was all he said before he walked out of the room leaving me alone and scared.
I tried to figure out what had happened but all I could figure out was that I felt lost and helpless. I hated it. I tried to get my mind off of my lost memory, but there wasn't a big of a distraction available.
Then I knew it.......... everything was lost.
