{Carries POV} {present day}
Brads phone rang on the night stand next to the bed. "Who is it" I asked as he answered. "It's Kim" he said. "Hello, yes, yes, yes tomorrow is fine I guess we'll be there, yes we Carrie is my fiancé, what ever Kim WE will be there tomorrow" he said. "What was that all about" I asked running my fingers through his hair to calm him down. "We have to be in Nashville tomorrow at two to talk to Kim about the kids and the custody" he said breathing deep and putting his lips against my forehead. "We got this babe but we need some sleep if were surviving the drive back tomorrow" I said putting my head on his shoulder and drifting to sleep.
{in the morning}
I woke up and Brad was changing his pants. "Nice butt" I said startling him. He jumped back in bed next to me. "Not half as good as yours" he said teasing and looking over my back. "Oh you loser" I said pushing his shoulder. "So are you sure you're ready to face the wrath of Kim" Brad said half joking half not. "Yes babe. I want Huck and Jasper to be ours" I said smiling. "Huck and Jasper want to be with us too I just know it" Brad said getting up and throwing our cloths in our suite cases. We got ready and went down stairs. Brad started to pack up the truck while I wrote mama and daddy a note. I finished up and slid my boots on and walked out the front door. "You ready" Brad asked as I got in the truck and he pulled away. "Yup" I said and we were off. Only five more hours to go. We drove for a little and I played flappy bird, tweeted about our road trip, and talked with Brad. "Brad what will our kids look like" I asked him. "I think they'll have your hair and skin and that amazing chin of yours and they'll have my eyes and my lips and they'll have your rocking body" he said laughing. I laughed and grabbed my stomach. "You okay Care" Brad asked. "Yeah my stomach just hurts from laughing I think" I said out of breath. Brad looked at me odd. "You sure your okay" he asked. "No pull over I feel like I'm going to be sick" I said. He pulled to the side of the road and we got out. I bent over and Brad came over and rubbed my back. I didn't throw up but I still felt nauseous so Brad went and got us food. I felt so much better but I still laid my head in Brads lap and let him pet my head till I fell asleep. I woke up and we were still driving. I looked at the clock and it was one o'clock. Brad turned so I sat up and looked out the window and we were pulling in my drive way. "We can change and shower and drop the stuff off and then go to the court house" he said smiling. We got out and Brad set our stuff in the room and we showered and officially got ready for the day. We got in the truck and drove to the court house. We both held hands and took a deep breath and walked in. "Daddy Carrie" the boys both yelled as they ran to us with open arms. Brad picked up Huck while I scooped up Jasper and threw him in the air then we switched and Huck gave me the biggest kiss on the cheek. Kim started to walk over then stopped when she saw Huck on my hip and Jasper in Brads hands. "Awwe look at the perfect happy family" she said continuing to walk over. I wasn't going to lie she looked the roughest I'd ever seen her. "Hello Kim" Brad said while I sat semi-speechless. "No hello from the queen Carrie" she said. "No reason to be spiteful" Brad said. The officer came out. "The Paisley case is now ready" she said loudly. We all walked in and the judge called Kim up. "Why do you think you should have these boys" he asked. "Well" she started, oh lord here we go, "I am there mother and natural care taker. I have a bond with those boys that Brad and Carrie can't have with them plus I know they both do drugs such as heroin" she said. "Heroin" Brad and I both said out loud at the same time. "Yes heroin just look at the woman she's skin and bones" Kim said. "Do you have any substantial evidence of the drug abuse" the judge asked. "Well no" Kim said. "Is that all" the judge asked looking surprised. "Yes is it" she said making her way back to her chair. "Okay now you Mr. Paisley" he said turning to us. Brad stood up and made his way to the stand cool and confidently. "Mr. Paisley why do you think you should have legal custody of the boys" the judge asked. "Sir I believe I should have the boys because I am marrying the most amazing woman in the world, who is also there godmother, and I feel we can give them the best life and raise them to their best potential" he said. "Will that be your closing statement" the judge asked. "Yes thank you" Brad said then started to make his way back to our seats. "Carrie Underwood to the stand please" the judge called. I got up handing Jasper and Huck to Brad. "And your reasoning" the judge asked. "I feel we should have the boys because Brad and I can raise the boys in a loving nurturing home and the boys will grow up to be respected people if raised by us" I stated. "Will that be it" the judge asked. "Yes sir" I said walking back to my seat. Huck crawled into my lap. "Well I think it's obvious who my choice will be but I do want to hear from the boys as well" the judge requested. "Carrie go with us" Huck whispered to me. "Okay" I said taking them hand in hand up to the judge. "Okay boys" the judge said "where do you wanna go" he asked. Huck stepped forward. "Mr. Judge I wanna go with daddy and Carrie because they're a family and my mother could never build another family like daddy and Carrie did" he said stepping back and glancing over his should at Kim. "And what about you Jasper" he asked. "I wanna be wit daddy and Carrie and Huck" he said hugging my leg. I scooped him up and squeezed Hucks hand. "Brainwashed" Kim yelled "they've got you allllll brainwashed". The judge paused for a brief second. "Well my decision is final. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will raise Huck and Jasper Paisley with full custody and their mother will be not be granted visitation" he said letting his hammer come down. "Case dismissed" and the judge got up and walked out. "All rise" the officer yelled as she walked over to us "Mr. and Misses. Paisley and Miss. Underwood you do understand the ruling correctly" she asked. "Yes" we all said in unison. Huck, Jasper, Brad and I all hugged one of those picture perfect family hugs and Brad kissed me. By the time we pulled apart Kim was gone. We walked out to the car and the boys booster seats were on top the truck. We put the seats in then loaded the boys in. "So where do y'all wanna go for lunch" I asked. "Red Robin" Jasper yell and Huck called in reply "yum". We all laughed. "Red Robin it is then" Brad said pulling out. "So boys I have some good news" I said turning around to Huck and Jasper who had they're heads cocked sideways like confused puppies. "What Carrie" Jasper asked finally. "Me and your daddy painted your rooms !" I said. There faces lit up. "Thank you Daddy and Carrie" they said in unison. We pulled in and Jasper an Huck were already out the car and in the door. Brad grabbed my belt loops like in the parking lot of the CMA's and pulled me up against him leaning on the truck. "They love you" he said kissing me. "I know" I said kissing his nose "now let's get inside before they go to Kim" I said leading him in by his hand.
