"I'm gonna miss you Ollie."

"I know Thea, I know. I'm gonna miss you too, but don't worry, we're only gonna be gone for a few weeks."

"A few weeks is a long time, and I've always come with you, no matter where you've gone. It's going to be the first long period of time that i haven't had you with me to keep me safe and keep me company."

"It's only going to be a few weeks, I'll be back before you know it."

"It's just... I have a bad feeling about this... something's going to happen to you guys..."

"Thea, nothing is going to happen. I'll be fine, dad will be fine, we're all going to be just fine. Just trust me on this one, ok?"

"Ok Ollie, I trust you."

"Thank you, but I gotta go back my stuff, maybe we'll have some time to play games or something later."

"Ok, see you in a little bit then."

"See ya Speedy."

"Don't call me that! You know how much I hate that name!"

"Fine, bye Thea."

Oliver stepped out of his little sister Thea's room. This fishing trip is going to be good for me and dad, we've never really had a chance to bond until now. Oliver thought to himself as he walked down the corridor leading to his room. It was pretty extensive considering they lived in a mansion and all.

Oliver Queen came from a wealthy family. The only son of Richard and Moira Queen, he was treated as if he were royalty, which, in the eyes of Starling City, he was. Oliver's father was the CEO of one of the world's largest and greatest company's, Queen Consolidated. Always having to work at the office or going on long business trips, Richard was never able to spend time with his family. This, of course, resulted in a not so close relationship with his wife and children. This fishing trip was his way or reaching out and trying to bond with his son. What he would never be able to realize, even though he causes it, is that their bond will become unbreakable.

Oliver had nearly finished packing when his father entered his room.

"C'mon bud, I want us to have as much time as we can get together."

"Alright dad, give me five minutes."

His father left his room and he sat on his bed in silence. Oliver had also started to get a bad feeling about this trip. He swept the feeling out of his mind and picked up his phone. He wanted to make a call to his longstanding girlfriend, Sara, before he left. He pulled up her number and called, but all he got was the voicemail.

"Hey baby, it's Oliver,. Just wanted to say I love you before I head out for three weeks. It's going to be torture, being stuck without any contact to the outside world for three weeks. But whatever, it's worth it if I get to spend some time with my dad. But yeah, I love you. Stay safe and don't get into any trouble when I'm gone, and watch Thea, she's gonna be kinda lonely without me. See you later."

He left her a message, grabbed his bags and headed out. He placed his bags into the trunk and stepped in the limo. When they got to the dock he hugged his mom and little sister and boarded the boat. He went to his cabin and laid in the bed. After about an hour or so his father knocked on the door.

"Hey bud, you bored?"

"Yeah, a little."

His father chuckled. "We have satellite radio, so you do have something to listen to."

"Ok, thanks for telling me, love you dad."

"Love you too son, stay safe, we got about a week until we get to the South China Sea, so just sit tight for a while."
