Chapter Two

     When I get home, I practically tackle my mom so I can tell her about the college thing. She asks me what's going on, so I explain.

      "Well, it sounds really fun, but your father's paycheck was cut for the next four months due to budget cuts. I don't know if we can afford it. I'm sorry, sweetie."

     Her answer hits me like a bus. I'm trying to think of ways we can get more money, but I really can't think of anything. Then, as soon as I think about it, I'm positive a light bulb is floating above my head. "I can go to the rich neighborhoods on the other side of the town and babysit! It's pretty close, and since they're rich, I can make a bit more money! Is that okay?"

     "I guess. We can make some flyers to post around the neighborhoods and hopefully, we get something."  She goes to the computer room to start working. I go to my room and work on homework when I get a text from my best friend, Niall. It's weird, because we live in Iowa, but he's got a thick Irish accent. It's so adorable.

     Hey May. I heard you were chosen for the Junior Ambition Program. My four mates and I were chosen too! Hopefully we all make it. Also, what is your first choice for class?

     That's amazing that we were all chosen! I'm chosing the Theater class. Wbu?

     The lads and I are taking Theatre too! They're really cool. You'd like 'em. have you met the lads? Louis, Liam, Harry, and Zayn?

    YAY WE ARE ALL GONNA BE TOGETHER xD but no, I haven't met the others yet. hey I gotta go...homework. Buh bye cx

     Niall is one of the sweetest guys you could ever meet. The four friends are all British. Funny thing in Iowa. I wonder what the others are like. They seem cool because most guys don't want anything to do with theater. Of course, with me being a hormonal teenage girl who is in love with guys, I go to Niall's Facebook and search through his friends until I find Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Zayn Malik. Oh my GOD! They are all attractive, but Zayn really stood out. Nerdy glasses, black quiff, adorable little smirk. I look at the time and realize that I was staring at his page for ten minutes. Oops.

     I register for the ACT's online once I'm done with my homework. My phone vibrates and I see that Niall texted me.

     Hey love. What school are you going to for the test? Me and the lads are going to West Marin

     Then I'm going to West, too ^.^ lol

     I'm excited, love...my mates can't wait to meet you

   Awh you guys are sweet cx I'm nervous there's gonna be a bunch of populars though...

   Oh shut up May aha you'll be fine. And if anything happens, you've got five wonderful guys to back you up :)
