"What am I going to do?" Jamie tugged on the ends of her hair, frustrated. "I want to go to the prom with Titus! It's the last dance before we graduate and-"

"Calm down." Amber laughed and tossed her book aside. The three of them went over to her house right after school, devising plans to get their crushes to notice them.

"How can I calm down? Titus won't even look at me!" the former groaned loudly.

"Well, why don't we make him notice you?" Jaecy grinned, and Jamie could almost see the little gears in her friend's head working.

"What do you have in mind?"

--

"It's so short! Jaecy Alexander Rayson! It's all your fault!" Jamie sulked, trying desperately to lengthen the skirt which reached only mid-thigh.

"You were the one who wanted Titus to notice you, of course you must use the beauty trap to attract his attention." Jaecy said innocently.

"Easier said than done, why don't you use this method on Sebastian then?"

"Shh! They are here!" Amber smoothened her skirt and tucked the stray strands of hair behind her ear.

"Hello ladies!" Aaron winked greasily. "Someone is looking good!" his eyes never left Jamie's slim legs and Titus nudged him.

"Weren't we going somewhere?" he asked grumpily. "I don't want to be late for class."

"Dude, when were you so concerned about punctuality?"  Aaron retorted.

Amber, on the other hand, glanced at Sean, who was hanging behind the rest of his friends. She struggled to remember when was the last time she had seen him smile.

"Amber, let's go." she snapped out of her trance after hearing her friend speak and nodded.

"So, when are you two getting dates?" Sebastian spoke up. "If not, poor Jaecy has to go to prom alone."

"Well," Jamie started, "I'm sure Jaecy will have someone to go with.. Right?"

The said girl just stared at her friend, wondering what she was talking about. "Uhh.."

"Seb, are you interested in Jaecy?" Aaron asked bluntly.

"N-No! Of course not!" he snapped quickly. Jaecy blinked at him, stunned. "I mean, she is pretty but I might be going with Olivia." he corrected.

She turned away and whispered, "Let's go." she felt as though her heart had been ripped out and stomped on many times. Tears threatened to fall and she bit her lip hard to prevent them from flowing.

"You okay?" Amber hugged her and gave Sean one last longing look before heading off to class.
