What is love?

A boy in the window.

The raindrops tapped against the window.
It was just another depressing day.
Sunday.
Its ironic since its should be sunny. But it's not.

MC was just casually sitting down on her bed. The rain really gave a bad headache.

It was peaceful. Somehow.
It was until a loud scream was heard;not from her house, it seems like it was from outside?
MC glanced over outside and saw through the window of the house in front of her's, a woman.
A woman so disgusting, so dangerous looking; a dragon would swallow his fire for mercy of looking at her. She laughed to herself when she remembered the fairytale her mom has told her just last night. A prince in shining armor losing to a dragon. Pathetic really.

Another scream,  louder this time. The woman slapped the little boy.
It was just like everyday. This woman always hits him, no one dares to stop her. As she disappeared out of view, tears fell from the boy's eyes and down his cheek. Oh how much she wanted to help the poor boy, she always thought of it but it would only make it worse for him. Plus he doesn't know her so it's not like he would trust her.

Trust.
Its difficult to do it.
Especially when you were taught not to trust some people.

MC knew she had to do something.
Anything.

Suddenly , eye contact.
The red haired boy looked at MC's eyes (lol)
His sunshine yellow eyes met MC's brown ones and they stayed locked for a minute. She could see the pain, the torture, the sadness in his bright eyes. The glow only hid the depression.
She smiled and waved at him to end this awkwardness. He smiled weakly. But it was a true smile, he waved back. It melted her heart.

He gets hit everyday, gets shouted at, gets bullied. Yet he smiled at you so brightly.
Its always the same thing.
He always changes for MC.
It makes her feel this funny feeling.

But what was it?
