"'As ever, John, you see but do not observe.'" John said, putting on a deep, posh voice. Rosie giggled and pulled her sheets up, smiling up at her father.

"I do not sound like that. I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about." Sherlock interrupted from the chair at the side of Rosie's bed.

"Yes, you do." John laughed.

"You do, uncle Sherlock, you do!" Rosie piped in.

Sherlock frowned, halfheartedly. "You, Rosie Watson are very cheeky, did you know that?"

"Well come help me, then." John smiled.

Sherlock stood ubruptly and walked around to John, peering over his shoulder at the laptop.

"Sherlock then turned to the woman and said 'You are a widow, aren't you? Your husband died two years ago, right?'" John read before turning and grinning at Sherlock. "OK, now you do the woman's voice."

Without skipping a beat, Sherlock began to read in a dramatic, high pitched voice. "Yes, I am. How on earth did you know, Mr Holmes?" He said, sending Rosie into a fit of giggles.

"'Well,' said Sherlock, before going off in another one of his famous deductions. I could barely keep up with what he was saying, as he talks extremely fast." John read.

"Wow! You are ever so clever, Mr Holmes!" Sherlock said, pretending to swoon dramatically. Rosie roared with laughter, but John frowned slightly and turned to Sherlock once more.

"You read that without looking." He murmured. "You...know this off by heart don't you?" A grin slowly spread across his face.

"What? No. Rosie, tell your father that he's insane." Sherlock denied.

"You bloody do, don't you? You know my damn blog off by heart." John laughed.

"I do not. Keep reading, it's getting to a good part." Insisted the detective.

John grinned, shaking his head. "Sherlock then turned to me with his signature smirk-"

"Signature smirk?" Sherlock exclaimed. "I don't have any sort of smirk."

"You do, uncle Sherlock!" Rosie said. "Daddy told me you do it because you think you're clever."

"Well, daddy," Sherlock looked pointedly at John, who poked his tongue out childishly. "Doesn't know what he's talking about. And I am clever."

John made a face at Rosie before continuing to read. "-before declaring, 'It was you, Mrs Appleton, who killed Miss Ranch!'"

Rosie gasped, although she'd already heard this story countless times.

Sherlock turned to John with his signature smirk and said "See? I am clever."

"Yeah, we know you are, don't we Rosie?"

Rosie nodded, giggling.
